If you look closely, the Tornado in the movie actually has two seats. Tails is obviously the pilot as always, but neither Sonic nor Knuckles don't sit in the seat in front of him, instead opting to stand on the wings. Here's how Amy Wachowski can still happen-

Even without the mistranslations, how did Tails plan on paying for the beef stews? At least when Sonic grabbed Oreos at the grocery store, he left behind a dollar on the shelf.

I don’t think that we’re supposed to think that far ahead, Darlin’. But I’m sure that the two would have found a way to pay for the “beef stews.”

I feel that Sonic travels the world a lot during the middle of the night. I’m sure that he’d have some money from different places to help pay.

Mystery my brain just cooked up a new headcannon. Yknow how ppl get fussy about Sonic's blue arms? What if when he sheds quills (they do that right) his arms change colors. In summer they're lighter and thinner (tan) and in winter they're thicker and insulating (blue). The reason we don't see sonic with blue arms a ton is because most of the shenanigans that go down happen in the warmer months. (Yeah i know sonic boom kind of invalidates it because they're on a tropical beach hot climate and he still has blue arms but I still think it's a neat HC that could have some potential)

Also, I do have one question (and I’m prolly gonna receive some interesting answers from this). Are we positive that if Sonic’s fur shed from his arms that it would be tan? Wouldn’t it be a pale blue or lightly indigo?

I ask this because some cats have darker skin color/pigment from their fur (sometimes colors if there’s a pattern on the fur).
