You know, I don’t hate it! I hc Cassandra as more interested in women than men, but I’d ship it. I love “serious person” and “little shit” relationships, and they’ll do good work together, in theory. (in a non-rook world ofc)

I'm not sure they'd go the distance, but while they were together, it'd work. He entertains her at the campfire with stories and nails a rogue hurlock that snuck behind her with a well-placed shot from Bianca. Cassandra's all gruff at first but she softens up as time goes and annoys Varric with affectionate hair-ruffling.

I can see it but I ship her with someone else because of the movie xP and it might be a stupid ship but eh I ship it. And Varric/Cassandra would be a cheeky couple…so now I’m a little conflicted. >.<

Grah, I hate Bioware's cross-marketing. In the ME-verse I can get by without the books/comics, but the DA materials lace way more tightly into the main narrative and make writing in the universe without having read/watched them a much trickier proposition. I'll have to watch it eventually.
