"I write from the neighbourhood of an ancient little village up the hill of Florence, in central Italy. Here is my location where my sound walk started, it’s basically a cross-country area with this hilly town called Fiesole. My walk took took place at 9.30pm > 10.30pm and it was raining, the first part was very intense with so much clouds above me, no artificial light, just a few cars and motorbike due to the pandemic restrictions, super windy and 'silent' space some how, but noisy inside my head, raindrops overall. My place is just about 3 miles far from the town center, the remaining area is mostly woods and olive tree fields. I arrived at the first houses of the village and then back to my place, I stopped for a while before coming back and catched some voices from indoor spaces, beautiful. The way back was different, I also started to think about where I am living and reflect upon why I ended up here. Weather changed and I heard some very tiny sounds coming from night birds and drops falling dawn the trees after the rain. Some moments of fear, just a few times, but the moon was over me at some point, light my path and make me feel more connected to the essence of place. Wind never stopped, though."
