ooc | Alek & Sonny
Okay, so this is Alek and how do I even begin b/c WHOA TALK ABOUT A MAN WITH ISSUES?!??!?! So like, he's been working for the Moretti family for a really long time (almost twenty years, atp) and he managed to save the Don's life and basically earned everyone's trust and respect and is probably just under Adam Cassidy in the ~rankings. And like he doesn't like most ppl, but Alfonso Moretti is basically god to him, and so he therefore loves his family, too, and this includes Sonny, although if Sonny wasn't Alfonso's son, he'd probs hate his guts tbh, haha.
So as far as their relationship throughout the years goes, I feel like Alek would just let himself be amused, rather than annoyed, with Sonny's behavior?? And like he's always known that Sonny is Alfonso's heir and will be his boss someday, and he's cool with that. And he expects Sonny will calm down under his father's training and become the man that can lead the family and blah, blah, blah.
Okay, since Alek's been out in Las Vegas with Tony for these last few years, however, he's basically been able to like slowly manipulate Tony into the man Alek thinks he should be and idk it's very unhealthy and idek it's me and Kate, what did you expect??? So when Alek gets back to New York and spends an extended period with Sonny and realizes that he hasn't changed AT ALL (plus he has a striper girlfriend ahah Alek will be SO PLEASED) and that the Don's sick and that Sonny will be in charge probs pretty soon and in the middle of the war, Alek like internally freaks out.
And he thinks that it should go to Tony: Tony is calm and calculating and ruthless and cruel and basically a mini-Alek in training, haha, so ofc he's Alek's pick and Alek truly thinks that having Tony in charge is the best thing for the family, so if the Don does die and Sonny's in charge, Alek is going to have some major problems with this. To the point where I think it'll either be him or Alek.
So like, originally, I was thinking that a) Alek might kill Sonny and frame the Connoghans or b) slowly start to plant doubt in everyone's mind about Sonny and then attack Sonny one night, and basically lets Sonny kill him. And then Sonny will be all "Alek tried to kill me and so I had to kill him" And since everyone knows that Alek has NO LIFE OUTSIDE OF THE MORETTIS HE LIVES TO SERVE NO LIE and if they were having concerns about Sonny before, might start to think about replacing him. And basically use his own death to get rid of Sonny.
But then, I think I read somewhere that you and Kate were planning on having Aaron kill Sonny ??? And if that's the case, I can see Alek like trying to push Sonny to go after him and kinda really ignite that fire and like he might even be there when Aaron kills Sonny and just kinda lets him???
OKAY WOW END RANT. I JUST HAVE A LOT OF WEIRD FEELS/IDEAS?!??!
