SONO DRS is a South Korean brand with an International vision. Sono means I am and DRS is the abbreviation of the designers name, Deresa; I am Deresa. As simple as the name of the brand, the inspiration and the concept behind the designs derive straight from the history of the designer herself.
Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Deresa Choi received her Bachelors from Ehwa Woman's University in South Korea, Masters from Columbia University in New York and Diplôme D’études Approfondies from University Paris VII in France. On the contrary of where the designer stands as of today, she did not major in apparel wear, but concentrated in dance choreography. Her fashion sense became apparent after her experience as a dance choreographer in Paris for numerous years. Her keen attention to body shape and movement is translated into her fashion designs through the designer's own draping techniques.
