returning home to maryland, lochlan took some time off to reconnect with the world he had left behind. he spent most of that time on assateague island, it felt like the island had a deeper significance to him now. it had always felt like home and brought him comfort when he felt the ground beneath his feet slipping away. checking on the horses, they were excited when he could talk to them.

it'd been a little over a week when he returned to camp, the first place he wanted to visit were the stables. he felt bad for being gone for so long but skylar and leonardo promised they would look after the horses and pegasi for him. "oh, hey." lochlan said as he strolled into the stables, finding leonardo was there giving one of the pegasus a treat.

"i missed you." were the first words that came out of his mouth as he approached leonardo. "can i kiss you? i thought about you a lot while i was back home."

A world of wonders, gods, and monsters all of it open to him now and he had a brother. Well a half brother. Lots of half family if you really thought about it. One thing that Gabe was beginning to learn, early on, was that the sexual appetites of everyone at camp seemed to be heightened. He could even tell that his own was heightened, a simple breeze seemingly enough to make him pop a stiffy - like he was a teenager going through puberty again - so maybe that was why when his brother had approached him about a possible hookup... He didn't turn him down. Not outright, anyway. While the initial request was for a group play, Gabe still wanted to get his bearings on the place and get to know others but he'd be lying if he said he didn't want to bury his cock in a nice warm hole.

That's how he found himself at the Dionysus cabin, knuckles wrapping against the doorframe before he walked in. "Leo? It's uh... It's Gabe. You know, Bear's brother?" Okay...Perhaps   Shawn   had   been   a   bit   to   overconfident   that   the   training   wouldn't   be   so   bad.   But   hey…When   you're   told   that   you're   a   child   of   Ares,   wouldn't   you   expect   it   to   just   kind   of   come   to   him?   Still,   Shawn   reminded   himself   that   this   is   literally   his   second   day.   And   going   from   a   bartender   and   stripper   to   the   son   of   a   fucking   war   god   and   to   have   mage   abilities?   It   would   be   an   adjustment   for   anyone. 

Plus   he   had   been   told   that   they   go   on   bad   ass   missions.   And   for   a   thrill   seeker   like   Shawn?   That   was   sweet,   sweet   music   to   his   ears.   Shawn's   shirt   laid   abandoned   nearby   as   he   took   a   deep   breath   and   tried   to   force   himself   to   relax   as   he   stretched   his   body.   Working   out   the   joints   and   cramps   for   a   bit. 

“What   are   you   looking   at?”   Noticing   someone   staring   at   him   off   to   the   side,   Shawn's   embarrassment   (as   usual)   came   out   as   aggression   as   he   stomped   towards   the   target.   His   arrows   seeming   to   land   everywhere   but   the   bullseye.    “It's   only   my   second   day   before   you   say   anything.”   He   said   as   he   yanked   an   arrow   out   of   the   target.   The   muscles   in   his   arms   flexing   as   he   pulled,   and   his   chest   heaving   as   he   let   out   small   grunts.

cian  hadn’t  planned  on  lingering  near  the  edge  of  the  dancing  crowd,  but  the  music  was  good,  the  torches  painted  everything  gold,  and  the  air  smelled  faintly  of  sea  salt  and  spiced  honey  wine.  he  stood  with  a  half-finished  drink  in  hand—lighter  stuff  this  time,  learned  his  lesson  well  enough—watching  laughter  ripple  through  demigods  and  gods  alike.

his  gaze  caught  on  a  familiar  face  just  beyond  a  cluster  of  revelers  and  something  eased  between  his  ribs  before  he’d  even  decided  to  move.  a  few  steps  later,  he  was  beside  leonardo—still  at  a  polite  distance,  voice  pitched  to  cut  through  the  music  without  pressing  too  close.

“careful  now,”  cian  murmured,  lips  quirking  into  a  soft  grin,  “rumour  is  there’s  a  unicorn  skulkin’  about,  still  lookin’  to  collect  that  fifty  bucks.”  he  lifted  his  drink  in  a  small  salute,  the  motion  easy,  a  little  conspiratorial.  “good  to  see  you  again,  leonardo,”  he  added,  the  soft  irish  lilt  gentling  the  edges  of  his  words.  “been  a  little  while  since  we  last  had  a  chat,  eh?”

his  gaze  swept  over  the  gathering—laughing  demigods,  drifting  music,  gold-draped  tables—and  back  to  leo.  “some  night,  though,  isn’t  it?”  a  pause,  quieter,  “how’ve  you  been  keepin’?”
