            They're not real, they're gone, I am alone. The words were on repeat in her head as she tried to concentrate on the slippery and cold texture of the bathtub she was sitting on. If she covered her ears or eyes she would be disconnected from the world and meanwhile there was nothing she wanted more to get away from everything, she knew she would lose contact forever now, or for as long as Finnick wasn't around. Her arms tightened the grip around her legs as her eyes shut trying to contain the tears but the more silent the house was, the more clearly she could hear the screams of those she had dreamt about the previous night —where they lived even after death.

Standing outside the hotel room she had been told to go to, Annie had to take a deep breath. She had managed to fool the Capitol into believing she was just another of their citizens who wished to spend an evening in the company of the famous Finnick Odair. Thankfully she had enough money for it to be possible, the one perk she had found since being a Victor. It had taken her weeks to plan this, the fake name caused the most trouble. She eventually decided upon an anagram of her own name, maybe to give him a clue. Cristan Naee. She was working on the fact Capitol women had rather ridiculous names.

Of course Finnick wouldn't know it was her so she was a little afraid of what she might see behind the door. After taking another deep breath, she knocked on the door.
