His queen chimes in excitedly, “Yes, the joining of the dark lord's children.”

Across the table Queen Silva’s face turns sour.  “Yeees, while we are at it, let us also discuss the fact that there are uneven chairs here tonight.” Although Queen Gerania, keeps a cheery smile, her fingers tap the table with irritation. Her husband covers her hand lightly rubbing her knuckles.  “Yes, it is no secret our 7th was...unworthy but I don't see why we can't rectify the situation.” “Men of sin: *They raise* Efraim, of sloth | Jacob, of wrath | Avan, of envy | Tirus, of lust | Rickon, of pride | Kaspar, of greed | Maion, of gluttony” “Women of sin: *They raise * Poppy, of Gluttony | Livia, of Lust | Jewel, of greed | Alma, of pride | Jade, of sloth | Eva, of envy” Huxley's gasp can be heard throughout the banquet hall. “Does that mean... Ivy is wrath?!”

“Shh..” they warn, but it’s too late. “Who dare speak her name here? Come forth.” They push Huxley out into the light, pretending to scurry back to the kitchen.

Everyone had already shared a dinner once before but this time they were able to get to know each other without the royal drama, and the missing spoons of course. 

Efraim and Jade, Prince and Princess of Sloth, were discussing gender roles in a marriage. The realm was pretty traditional but Jade still wanted to know where she stood. Of course, Efraim, who after all was the prince of sloth, wanted no part in ...well anything.  His brother Rickon tried to step in to help him, 

“I don’t think that’s what you meant, right Efraim?”

“Butt out Rickon!” 

And so he did, allowing his brother to continuously shove his foot in his mouth.  

Another conversation at the table had also turned sour, this one between Kaspar and Jewel, Prince and Princess of greed. Jewel had been asking Kaspar why he thought they were paired together and what he liked about her. Kaspar wasn’t really one for deep thinking and Jewel wasn’t one for patience. 

“Really you need to think about that one?”

“Well, y-you have nice eyes?”

Then, there were conversations going extremely well. 

Tirus and Livia, Prince and Princess of lust were discussing... well, nothing really, but at one point Tirus had mentioned her dress,

“Looks even better on the floor, let’s get out of here.”

“My Kinda woman!”

Jacob and Eva, Prince of Wrath and Princess of Envy, were off to a rocky start with Jacob’s backhanded compliments. Little did he know Eva was not the girl to keep quiet after she tore him a new one he couldn’t be more enamored, 

“I think I love you.”

Last but not least were the couples moving steadily not too hot, not too cold. 

Maion and Poppy, Prince and Princess of Gluttony were going through the basic date night questions when they found a commonality, food. 

Maion loved to cook healthy foods finding fitness and health to be very important. Poppy had a bit of a sugar addiction but thought their differences could be a nice balance. 

 Ivy had no idea how things were going with Avan, prince of envy. They’d have a good flow but then something would snag Avan’s attention and he’d start ranting on about... well not even he could remember. 

“But I mean it’s not like I cared”

“Riight”
