SONY A764 200-600+1.4EXT
This is outstanding image quality I was waiting for the Little Grebe to surface when this Comorant arrived at sat on a post on the edge of the lake. I couldn’t move and I hafitted my ext on the 200-600 so I had no idea what the images would be like. The IQ even when using this combination is outstanding.

Look at what 61mp can do when you use the 200-600 +1.4 Ext. This image is from the bank of the lake with my phone, it puts into context what you can achieve using the APS.C mode. The Grey Heron is Dead Centreon a metal rail. The second image is Cropped with no there editing. Look at the detail you retain at f9. Cropped only.

Today i went to the Lake to try the 1.4 Ext on the 200-600 and the results are breath taking. The gulls were practicing the dropping of shells using the leaves in the water, they were in the middle of the lake so i used the APS-C mode and after cropping the image quality is amazing.

This is the first time out after being in a cast since April where i can capture the birds in flight. Yes there only gulls but they i can see the tracking and focusing on theses birds who give the birds in flight technique a great opportunity.
I have always had a gripe about extenders but this combination gives you more reach and gets fantastic results with amazing image quality at f9.

The IQ this combination achieves is amazing so to have the facility to crop heavy and retain so much detail is a wildlife photographers dream, this Little Wren is so small for the Full Frame sensor to capture and keep razor sharp.
