Y'all don't understand the freedom this gave you as a kid when this dropped. No longer did you have to suffer long car rides listening to your parents taste in music. The ability to shut the world away anywhere you were. I loved mine.

Looking up network walkman models feels like I'm committing infidelity with my ipod mini.

To be fair though, Japan has some really cool looking models. I should start a collection in the future. iPods are still supreme though: that touch wheel is just so nice to use. There's also that innoyasis thingymobob which I'm still sceptical about as it looks like high effort knockoff ewaste to me but it would be funny to own alongside like an ipod classic.

Essentially I'm gonna have an mp3 player army in the future and my mini is the only one I'll actually use because it's just so perfect for me (when it's not busy crapping it's hard drive). It's not overconsumption if it's autism fuel!
