Project: SONYC Afterschool “Grateful Challenge” Poster for thanksgiving. Date: 2020 COMPASS NYC also known as SONYC for School’s Out NYC serves as a program for homeless facilities and middle school after-school activities. Structured like clubs, the model offers young people a choice in how they spend their time; provides rigorous instruction in sports and arts; and requires youth leadership through service. The City itself becomes a classroom through trips and opportunities for instruction beyond a traditional learning setting. To celebrate thanksgiving virtually, everyone was asked what they were grateful for; to emphasize optimism, unity, inclusivity and hopeful mindset moving forward.

Battle!

Here's an arrange of something quite obscure; the boss theme from Sonyc, a bootleg Sonic the Hedgehog game for the MSX2 computers.

Make no mistake; despite the generic title, this theme and the rest of the game's soundtrack bangs so hard that it's absolutely criminal nobody even talks about it. Hell, as of today, I'm probably the only person who has considered to arrange one of their tracks.

But anyway, yeah. I went all out with this one, haha.

These programs will provide a bridge to next school year and allow students to reconnect with one another and with their schools. They will address unfinished learning while providing avenues for recreation, exploration, and fun.
