They also don't go long into the night. In Michigan on the Fourth of July they always schedule fireworks after dinner, but before twilight's end, which always leads to a delayed start, and they usually end after half-past-ten. Kenai has no such problem. They start at seven sharp, which in late November is almost two hours after twilight. They only last 15 to 20 minutes, so even on a work or school night, everyone gets home in a timely manner.
