Things I'm a sucker for part 5 I think:

That one fanfic HP AU, the otp is in potions, learning about amortentia, each student gets a wiff, if told from one half of the ship, they smell things that are characteristic to the other half, whom they are best friends with, and not realise they are mutually pining for. They smell things that they know are comforting, but they can't quite place where or what the smell reminds them of. Same goes for the other half. Eventually as they hang out more together, they both slowly realise that the potion smelled like each other.
