Ok another random hc time! (Though it’s not that random bc I’ve thought about this one for awhile lol)
So roughly a couple years post savior ending, I hc Vanessa getting a tattoo. Not a big one, and really just one, bc I don’t think she’d go crazy with them. But this particular one is special, it’s on her right wrist (her dominant hand) and it’s a princess crown with 3 star jewels in the middle (the biggest one in the middle is orange, with two smaller stars next to it being blue and purple)
While Gregory is somewhat hesitant about the tattoo at first (it’s a big change to someone’s body, change can freak him out sometimes) he eventually warms up to it, especially knowing it clearly has a special meaning. So much so, he ends up drawing on his right arm (bc his dominant is the left) a swords and shield design, with the sword having a dark blue trim and 3 silver stars in the middle, one big one right in center, with two smaller ones)
While Vanessa is flattered and finds it cute and sweet, she thinks it’s probably just him being a silly kid, wanting to match her and everything (either as besties or siblings or both) especially since it’s not permanent and will wash off, it’s the thought that counts though.
However, when Gregory becomes a legal adult and the guardianship contract ends (either when he turns 18 or right after graduating high school), he ends up revealing to her a little surprise: he’s got that same swords and shield tattoo (now on his left wrist, and a bit more polished and clean since he improved as an artist) now permanently on him, fully matching her.
And she just starts SOBBING.
Bc she thought it was just a silly kid thing he was doing, even though it was still special, she didn’t expect him to actually get the REAL thing. But no, he did it SPECIFICALLY after the contract ended in case she ends up pulling some “you don’t have to stay now” crap. Since he’s TECHNICALLY no longer legally obligated to. But he was never planning to leave. No matter what. Papers be damned. It’s their bond that keeps them connected. And he showed her that by permanently etching it onto his skin.
and now and forever they are known as the golden princess, and her little knight 👑🛡️⚔️
