blissfully unaware - 10. buldak
soobin was sweating by the time he finished cleaning his place up. he restocked on your favourite chocolate milk. got all the cat treats and put a cute little bow on buldak.
"be a good boy, okay?" he says to buldak who tilts his head confused. soobin opened his wardrobe. what should he wear to look effortlessly good and not a try hard. "buldak what should I wear? this hoodie or this t-shirt?" the cat purrs. "okay the hoodie it is."
after changing he kept fixing his hair looking in the mirror. when the bell rang he sprinted to the door.
there you were. a blue cat carrier in hand. in a pair of cargo pants and a white crop top. how did you manage to look so good. "hey soobin."
"hi... c'mon on in." he moved aside. "I hope it wasn't a hassle coming here with Luna."
"no it's alright. little buldak must meet my Luna." you smiled as he led you to his room. you put the carrier on the floor and opened the door. "Luna baby. c'mon. we have a new friend."
soobin watched as Luna, an orange Persian cat walk out. it wasn't just a walk. she was strutting. Luna rubber her face against your thigh looking around.
buldak on the other hand quickly rushed to check the new guest. he looked intrigued. Luna paid no mind, tail high she walked around soobin's room and then looked back at soobin. he had never felt so judged by a person, let alone by a cat.
"she has an attitude when she meets new people." you laughed scratching her head. "but I swear she's the softest girl ever."
soobin laughed as he watched Luna slowly sit down beside the window where the sunlight fell. buldak again followed her curiously sniffing her. as he tried to reach out and touch her, she smacked his paw away.
"Luna." you gasped as soobin laughed clutching his stomach. "that's not how we make friends. bad kitty." Luna looked at you then back at buldak.
"it's okay. they're still new to each other." soobin said and you couldn't help but smile seeing the smile on his face. why was he so freaking cute? you found yourself leaning into him on the bed as you two watched the two cats.
"who named buldak though?" you asked.
"well. it was Beomgyu's friend. he was at our place with some of his friends making ramen. it was buldak's first day with was. he was playing around with the ramen packet and heeseung suggested we name him buldak."
"wait- heeseung as in lee heeseung?" you asked and he nodded.
"kinda. he was dating my friend for a while." you turned to look at the cats again. Luna was still in the same place but buldak too now calmed down. sitting in front of her.
"so... what got you into acting?" soobin asked tearing his eyes away from the cat to look at you.
"I don't know." you shrugged. "I played a small role in a theatre when I was a kid... and I really enjoyed it. so I wanted to get into acting. my parents didn't really like it. so I just dropped it. in uni I decided to join the theatre club again since my parents can't really control what I do anymore... I auditioned for baekhyun's MV without thinking too much. I never thought I'd get it."
"you're really good though." soobin said and you looked up at him. his eyes were warm, his face sincere. "I watched like from the sides... and Kai too said you're really good."
"thank you..." your face flushed. soobin looked so honest. and getting a compliment from the guy you liked was even better. he slowly reached forwards moving a strand of hair out of your face and you felt like butterflies were doing backflips in your stomach. his touch was so soft and you felt yourself melting into his hands.
a small meow made you two move away as you turned back to the cats who now looked civil. "they're so cute." you said grabbing your phone to take a picture of the cats. soobin smiled to himself watching you. his eyes went back to the cats. looks like even his buldak had luna's heart.
