First faceup of 2023 - Soom Jethro, who was previously named Bastian and barely had a concept, is being redesigned into a new character named Kuo.

Over the holidays I’ve gotten my hands on an airbrush and a portable indoor spray booth. This was my first attempt with the airbrush/sealing with something that isn’t MSC and I love the results! Clothes/eyes/wig are on the way, and I’m going to try airbrushing his fantasy parts next!

I’m back from my hiatus alive and well LOL;;; I took a long absence in which I fell in and out of love with the hobby. It gave me a lot of stress for a long time, but I think I can finally get back to enjoying it how I always wanted to from the start. Finally I have a space to enjoy dolls where I don’t feel any negativity! Even my partner, who was hesitant about them at the start, now enjoys them and respects how important they are to me. Good vibes all around!!

I didn’t sell any dolls, and I haven’t bought any. My crew is still the same- and basically untouched from a year or so back! The only difference being my dollzone freddy (sans broken horn), who I rebranded from Casimir to Milo. It was an easy switch since all he ever got was a faceup and a bland personality before I went on hiatus ;;; 

Today I bought so many clothes for some of my most unfinished and unloved sculpts- it was an amazing feeling! I bought things for Milo, Lumé, Jiji, Lark, and Jabot. I’ve also resigned to the fact that I’ll have to sew Bastian’s outfit myself, since he’s just so damn big- and his fantasy legs don’t offer much help in the pants department LOL- anyway- big clothing hall, which i justified by putting in 50+ hours a week between two jobs for the past month. I’m a little tired but my boys are getting the love I should have given them a long time ago.

I can’t wait to dress everyone up and shake off the rust as I attempt a few new faceups too.. Wish me luck haha! Here’s my list of goals over the next few months...

-Give Milo a new faceup.

-Sew Bastian’s fantasy outfit & Milo’s lil felt devil tail

-Suede Bastian

-Try not to buy things but also buy sculpts I like.. you know how it goes

Aww yiss, selling a bunch of things over the last couple of months meant I could pay off my second-hand Soom Jethro in brown tan early. My goatish Soom Beast is gonna be on a new hooved body soon!

Dunno what to do with the faceupped Jethro head... I have no use for it :o I either sell it or just leave it sitting in the Soom box forever for posterity...

I just put a Soom Jethro the Giant on layaway in brown tan \o/

My Soom Beast head (top) will cease to have paws, and will become a badass goaty creature instead. He’s borrowed Migma’s horns, probably for good. Excited <3 The body has gold hooves, but they’ll have to be painted over. The head’ll get split off for sale I guess.
