Makcik dan Pakcik Makan Kelab. Nasi Lemak makan organised by Makcik Yoke Har to welcome 2019, the upcoming Chinese New Year and soon hong for some of us spending CNY with loved ones in Malaysia. But basically a makan and giggle fest (for the makciks) and hearty back-slapping (for pakciks). Plus some robust food debate that nobody won. The Nasi Lemak was the star dish, expertly cooked by Mak Yoke Har, who also made the lobak, pork hock and pineapple salad. Makciks and Pakciks cooked: roast pork, barbecue pork, curry prawn and wantons. Makciks excel in making Malaysian desserts and kuih. We had angtau cendol, bubur chacha, sago pudding, almond jelly, pak thong ko and a fusion creme caramel.
