a/n: plsss lmk what u think. it’s my first time writing since like 2022.

It is morning, the sun is present throughout the castle, not a dim spot in sight. It is almost blinding. There is chatter and cheering outside, everyone in the kingdom is present in the court. They are waiting to see the king and his future queen. To be more blunt, they are more interested in seeing who their future queen is, and what she looks like. The castle did not announce a name or anything about her. It was only a few weeks ago they announced his engagement. Nonetheless, the castle was buzzing with work, excitement, and pressure was on everyone. Today is the royal wedding. How could anyone not be excited for this day?

The future queen stares at herself in the full body mirror, she glances at her jewelry, and her gaze sets on her wedding dress. She is lost in it. The lace, the sparkles, and how big it is.

What am I to do? In just a few moments I will be queen.

For the rest of my life. I get to be queen.

In just a few hours though, right now I am still me.

Do not get me wrong, I am very grateful for this and happy to be getting married but…I enjoy this life I have now. I love my parents, my friends, my home, my pets, everything. I don’t want to leave. I don’t think I want to get married yet. But I am okay with it. I’m content, I just wish I could hold onto this part of my life a bit longer. What to do, what to do. Despite my feelings towards my future marriage, I am appreciative to be marrying someone so handsome. He is older but I do not mind. He’s easy on the eyes, my future husband. I like him. He’s good company. I am curious about him, I do look forward to getting to know him more. I know he likes the color white, he is fond of eating fish, and enjoys all things green. Nature and plants. He also loves fruit, and has a sweet tooth. I don’t think sharing a life with him would be so bad, he is sweet. I am nervous about the wedding night though, I am inexperienced. Maybe we won’t do anything, I can suggest that we sleep instead. I’m sure it would be okay.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

“Are you ready dear?” mother says, behind the door. You take a deep breath.

“I am ready,” you respond.

I am ready. I am ready to be married, I am ready to be queen, and to lead this kingdom alongside my husband.

You open the door to face your mother. “Is he ready? Is James ready?” You ask her.

“He’s waiting for you my sweet girl,” mother says with tears swelling in her eyes. You take her hands, and pull her in for a hug. “I’m afraid mother,” you whisper. She pulls away, and fans her eyes. She then looks at you. “You will be just fine, do not worry. We are still here, me and your father, do not forget that. You are still our daughter, we will not abandon you. If you need anything my dear, we are here. Don’t not be scared any longer, enjoy your wedding day,” mother says.

“Thank you mother. I am ready. Please take me to father,” you ask. Mother grabs your hand, and leads you down the hall to meet your father.

Once your father sees you, he’s in tears. He could not speak words, just sobs. He hugs you tightly, and takes your hand. Seeing your parents so emotional and happy, is starting to make you feel emotional as well. You are not crying though, not on this day. You are okay. “I think I must go now, father. James is waiting for me,” you tell him. He lets go of you, and wipes his tears. “You are right my love,” he responds. Your parents give you one more hug, and your father takes you by the arm. The both of you stand in front of the kingdom’s church doors.

I wonder what James looks like. More so his hair. How did he style it? No time to wander. You are about to be married.

The doors open. You are met with gasps, and many smiles. But the only smile that stands out to you the most is James.

What seems to be minutes later, you are kissing your sweet husband in front of what seemed like the entire kingdom.

The kiss is sweet, smooth, and so heavenly. It felt like eternity. His lips are so smooth, and he tastes so good. James pulls away. You grab his face.

“James I want more,” you mouth. The hall is cheering.

“Anything you want, my darling dearest,” he says. He kisses you once more.

How am I supposed to focus at work this week when Frebby Fazbear is singing his little song in my doorway?

The movie is HAUNTING me at this point.

It's gotten to the point where, despite never actually having BEEN to Montréal (does Gatineau even count as Québec really?? I mean I went over the bridge but that was more to say I'd been in Québec) I'm giving my friends advice on places to go to buy shit.
