The woman greeted the crowd brightly, grinning with the ever-most excitement.

♠️- "I usually don't get visitors around here! In fact, everyone should be dead! Are you a spectre with legs? That would be impressive, I haven't seen one of those yet."

She giggled, grinning.

♠️- "Perhaps you are more visitors who entered my world? If that's so, welcome to Zone 0! I am Zona, a sort of... Makeshift guardian of Zone 0 I suppose."

♠️- "Here you'll see our bad anatra succession of purifying the zone, he and his corrupted burattinaio roam around here now! But don't get tooo close, he'll eat ya!"

"Hhhh, eh.. Miriam? I've been... told to.. k-kiss you. So.." *goes for a kiss on the cheek but somehow manages to kiss the corner of her mouth instead* "OH! S-sorry.. I didn't... umm, o-ok bye." *runs away to go dunk his red face into some cold plastic*

The word “kiss,” unfortunately, makes her turn to look at him. The cheek kiss misses its mark entirely, and just like that, he’s gone.

Miriam just stares. Stares in the direction that he bolted off in. She slowly lifts a hand to her mouth, rubbing it, clasping her palm over it. That had actually felt…kind of nice, and warm, and…no. Nope. Nope.

She needed to get back to work.

She glances up, snapping out of her random train of thought just in time to watch him meander off. She just sort of deflates with a small wheeze.

10550 liked having days off - it meant that the nights prior could be spent staying up a little longer than usual, working on writing or reading, sometimes with some company.

She wouldn’t ask where Kandij found the blanket, but it was a perfect addition to their impromptu slumber party, and she would happily curl up in it with him while they talked about anything and everything.

Before she knew it 10550 found herself pinned to the nearest wall. She was trapped, caught like a rabbit in very foreboding headlights.

"…K-Kandij…?"

The tone in his voice and the look that he was giving her were most unsettling, enough to make her stomach twist into a very unpleasant knot. Something didn’t feel right. Something screamed in the back of her mind, a frightening fact that left her fingers trembling as they clutched at her tie. Whoever was home at the moment…

…it wasn’t Kandij.
