Who cries when someone dies in a movie – Very rarely will any of these two cry, unless it’s a really moving family drama where a character’s loved one dies (Jin), or if it’s a dog that dies (definitely Erron).
Who wears the ugly holiday garb – Erron hates them with a passion, but somehow Jin will coax him to wear one of those ugly sweaters at least once or twice during the holiday season especially if it’s one of those naughty, X-rated sweaters.
Who pays for the meals – Erron – when he’s feeling generous and/or can’t stomach Jin’s so-called cooking – would treat his man to fancy restaurant meals; if it’s anything low-key and low-cost like a cafe or a casual restaurant, Jin will pay.
Who slams the oven door and who plays the trombone – Neither … unless Cassie Cage asked them to do it for a bet, then Jin will play the trombone while Erron gently slams the oven door (”’Cause I know you’re gonna break it somehow, Junior. Stick to blowing – you’ve got experience”).
Who brings home stray animals – Erron Black, oh so much. If there’s a chance of saving a wounded puppy or an abandoned dog, then he’ll bring them home. It’d annoy Jin – especially if it means receiving less attention from Erron, or the dogs are mischievous around the bowman only – but he sucks it up. Plus, it’s nice to see the cowboy showing his soft side,
Who leaves the bathroom door open – Neither. Although if one of them is showering, the other might try their luck and sneak a peek and get a towel thrown at their face for their efforts.
Who tells the ‘dad jokes’ – Neither … unless their making snarky, sassy remarks about Johnny Cage count as “dad jokes”.
Who wants kids more – More like Erron wants a dog, or two, or more. Jin would rather be a great uncle to Jacqui and Takeda’s kids, if they have any.
Who travels more – Both. Their jobs take them all over the place, with Jin going on S-F missions, while Erron is all over the show carrying out his contract jobs.
Who spends more cash – They’re both tightwads generally, but Jin can’t resist buying books and sweet treats. Erron only spends a lot if he’s buying ammunition or if they’re eating out Jin’s cooking, he cannot deal with.
Who buys the things in infomercials – Erron Black: “A machine that sucks up dirt? A doo-hicky that chops up onions in less than 30 seconds? I’m in.” Cue Jin chewing him out for buying a load of nonsense.
Who draws in the dust on their cars – Erron. If he can’t drive literally, he doesn’t know how, then he’ll entertain himself with drawing dust art. Again, cue Jin chewing him out for making drawings and writing sassy messages (“Help, I haven’t been washed” or “Riding dirty”) on his car.
Who starts the snowball fights – Jin, if he wants to be a mischievous bugger; Erron, when he wants to be playful for once in his life.
Who throws away the directions to things – Oh lord, it’s either between them being prideful idiots and throwing away the directions and getting nowhere without ‘em, or using the directions but still not getting anything right (”Junior, what’s the instructions say?” “It’s in Japanese.” “Yeah?” “… I’m Chinese, asshole.” “Ah.”) Needless to say, directions can’t save them.
Who puts up holiday décor – If Cassie’s holding a holiday bash, Jin will lend a hand, and force Erron to go along with it. It might even inspire them to do some decorating at home.
Who is more likely to forget to bathe – Neither. They’re all about keeping it clean unless it involves the bedroom.
Who gets more obsessed about things – If it’s about material things like money, Erron. If it’s about presentation, behaviour and values, Jin.
Who sings in the shower more often – Erron Black. Might even whistle while he’s at it. It’s enough to tempt Jin to take a look, and get a face full of towel in the process.
