I would like to make a genuine, sincere apology as I have since realised what a huge mistake it was and how terribly disrespectful my actions were. You were one of my biggest artistic inspirations and I wished I could create art as well as you did. Unfortunately, instead of studying colour and anatomy in order to achieve this, I decided to take a cowardly shortcut and trace your work instead.

I really, truly appreciate you reaching out to me. Being traced already hurts, but the worst part is feeling like the person who did it never learned their lesson. To receive a sincere apology like this really means a lot to me, and I’m glad you’ve grown from this experience! I understand it can be frustrating to learn new things and feel like you’re not making progress, but I promise you that taking the harder route is all the more worth it in the end.
