Hii, where do you place Fula City in your pokéverse? It's based off San Francisco (I think?) but we see a lot of Johto Pokémon and Lugia means a lot to the city's inhabitants so in my own AU I think of placing it between Kanto and Johto, somewhere along Routes 26/27

I'm curious to hear your worldbuilding around Fula City!

Sorry for the late answer, I had a busy summer !!

Yes, Fula is based off San Francisco AND Los Angeles (specifically Santa Monica pier), which is a very dear place to my heart.

I like to draw parallels between the PokéWorld and the real world, and so, Fula would be on the West Coast of the same continent Unova is on. With my best friend, we created a fan region inspired by California (and others places), Soraze, and decided to integrate Fula City in it.

Lugia travels through the currents, so he uses the currents going from the Orange Islands to Soraze’s coast to go back and forth. Some Lapras pods use them too to migrate to Alola every year; Lugia sometimes visits these islands if Crys is around as well.

Nature is fascinating and currents were already part of Lugia’s lore in the second movie, so I simply used that inspiration to explain his way of traveling!

As for the Johto Pokémon, well, lot of travelers from Johto moved to Soraze’s coast along the centuries and probably brought Pokémon with them, which may explain why we found them in the ecosystem around Fula City !
