Chaos - How do you cope when your routine is disrupted?
Depends on the scale of the disruption:
Sal’din is mighty among the Iron Warriors, so a minor disruption is easily dealt with - if, say, Flesh makes a mistake during factory inspections, he’s likely to ignore it unless the Overseer is lax or overly harsh in their duties.
If one of his Iron Warriors brings shame to the Grand Company, they’re probably toast. Honour is in short supply for the Rebellious Legions, and credibility, dignity, respect are worth more than gold in the Eye. (gold is, of course, next to worthless.)
If he’s ambushed or has a lengthy campaign foiled, expect tightly controlled wrath - think slightly stiffer movements, a mechanical-like voice, stone-faced expression if the helm is off, that sort of thing. Overall he’s much more chill than ye generice Lorde of Chaos - he’s confident and fixated on preventing his slice of the Legion from sinking further, which means he’s (at least outwardly) much more reasonable than the likes of Toramino or Shontu. Back when I wrote my Sal’din vs Aestra thing, this was how I saw him - he’s apoplectic with rage, so angry in fact that he goes round the bend to icy calm again. Expect the aura of dread and malevolence that powerful Iron Warriors seem to have around them.
Zoroastra will either take it with good humour or fall to pieces in rage as his masterful scheme to enjoy his morning tea is foiled. (full ”HOW did you even DO that, I can SEE THE FUTURE, THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE-”)
You only think you disrupted Mar’s routine - in fact you’ve been playing his game all alooong. In reality he’s the Ur-Alpha Legionnaire - he doesn’t have a fixed routine, as being predictable and linear is to make yourself vulnerable, and if he did he’s flexible, prepared and smooth enough to roll with almost anything, so only the most serious disruptions will ruffle him.
