Muro di Sormano
The Village da Gianmario Masala Tramite Flickr: From the series I made for the Contemporary Art Symposium of Sormano
ATTAQUER · The Muro di Sormano (Wall of Sormano) is a hill located in Sormano, Italy. This climb is famous as one of the most severe of any road cycling race, 1.7km long with an average gradient of 17% and a maximum of 25%. When the climb featured in three editions of the Tour of Lombardy in the 1960s, many riders were famously forced to get off and walk. The road up the climb fell out of use from 1963 to 2006 but after pressure from local cyclists it was restored, and now features split-times and soundbites from the riders of the climb stencilled on the road. #attaquer #lookgoodfeelgoodridefaster #sormano #italy
TORONTO -- Scientists say they did not detect a car-size asteroid that flew within 3,000 kilometres of Earth on the weekend until hours after it had passed by. The asteroid reportedly flew over the Southern Hemisphere just after midnight EDT on Sunday, marking the closest fly-by of Earth on record, according to asteroid trackers and a catalog compiled by Sormano Astronomical Observatory in Italy. #asteroid #3000km #flyby #trackers #sormano #carsizeasteroid #news #surrey #vancouver #toronto #canada https://www.instagram.com/p/CECt-sqAEGC/?igshid=4uqitszl3szq
