initial results from the first, two-person prequel session (now part one of a two-parter):

I did not expect plot set-up and setting intro to take quite so long, I’ll have account for that in pacing the first full-party adventure!

on the other hand having the rats just boil straight up out of the temple was probably better for narrative purposes in the long run, even if it gave less opportunity to avoid the encounter

I had my first experience in correcting from “no, you can’t” to “actually, you can roll for that”! I wanna try to lean towards the “well you can TRY” side and just... set DCs and such appropriately

I told Mom about the teenage wanna-be-gangbanger NPCs and she reminded me that @hurricaneann is a schoolteacher and probably thought she was going to be free of teenagers for the summer XD;;

wait I don’t know why I didn’t post about this it’s hilarious- someone kept calling me but I’d keep missing their calls, then finally I was there to pick up but it was just muffled talking and I swear I heard something about cars but whatever not too important, anyways no one answered so I hung up. They call back , I’m with a friend this time and I pick, again muffled nothingness, so my friend has the greatest idea of all time and on full volume just starts blasting the “dean Winchester pregnant” audio and immediately you can just hear frantic tapping…. anyways thought that was really funny and then the number called back again the next day and it was an elderly woman who said my number kept calling her….. still funny though,, but very sorry ann you did not need to know about dean winchester pregnant
