This is a gift for @trashydragonartist7 who suggested something rather suggestive when I asked her for things to write back in July. Luckily, this isn't too suggestive, so it is tumblr safe. Now I can hear you asking, "Deadly, why the hell did it take you two and a half months to write 3800 words?" I dunno. sorry Cam. This might not be very suggestive, but I hope I got some halfway decent flirting in it.
Dream was not very happy with the situation he was currently in. Nightmare had captured him. Again. He really hated when that happened. It was a mentally painful and emotionally draining experience. Never physically painful though. He thanked the stars for that.
He was in one of Nightmare's holding cells, a place that had become immensely familiar over the last few years, when Nightmare had began to capture him, rather than beating half to death when he lost. He slumped forward in a slouch, but sat back up when he heard foot steps approaching.
"Hello, brother dearest~" Nightmare walked in front of his cell with a smile, "If you keep stopping by, I really ought to get you an actual room to stay in."
Dream growled and pressed his back to the wall.
"I didn't come because I wanted to and you know it. Stop kidnapping me."
Nightmare grinned, "But then what would we do with our time? We would both be so bored if I didn't take you every once in a while. And you've been doing sooo well protecting the multiverse, you deserve a break."
Nightmare moved to open the cell door but stopped when Dream tensed, ready to run. He stops and his tentacles slip through the bars first, pinning Dream to the wall. When Dream had no chance of running, he entered completely, standing close to the other.
"Would you like that Dreamy? Your own room for me to keep you in? You seem so eager to leave your cell, you must love the idea. I rather like the idea as well, it's such a shame to have to keep a treasure like you locked up here."
Dream sputtered, unable to properly form words while Nightmare grinned, calling for the guards.
"Go prepare my room for a guest. And add a few outfits of Dream's size to my closet." Nightmare grinned down at Dream, "you would look lovely in my colors~"
Dream blushed and thrashed around in Nightmare's grip.
"L-let me go!"
Nightmare grinned, "Awe, how cute. Your blush lights up the room, I forgot how cute you were."
Dream ducked his head down and thrashed around harder, determined not to have to endure this embarrassment for much longer. Nightmare tilted Dream's head up, observing his ever growing blush.
"Do you like my compliments? How adorable." Nightmare asked, obviously amused.
Dream shook his head violently, "S-stop! Back off and let me go!"
"Sorry Dreamy, while I am very proud of how well you protect the multiverse, the boys have been begging for a few days of chaos. So you and I are spending a few days together where you can't interfere. Now come along quietly and I'll consider not shackling you to the bed as soon as we reach my room." Nightmare paused, "I mean, unless you want me to tie you up... that could be arranged~"
Dream flushed and went limp in Nightmare's tentacles. Escape was not possible at this moment and if Nightmare did tie him up, who knew what he'd do to him. Nightmare grabbed one of Dream's hands and let him loose of the tentacles. Dream followed behind him, allowing himself to be led to Nightmare's room. Once they reached the room, Nightmare locked the door behind them.
"Good boy~" Nightmare gestured to the bed, "go sit down, i'm going to get you something more appropriate to wear."
Dream decided that if things were to continue like this, his face would constantly be yellow. Still, he did as he was told. When Nightmare came back, he tossed something at Dream.
"Put those on. While I love how cute you look in those bright colors, I'd prefer you in mine."
Dream lowered his eyes, embarrassed.
"Where can I change?" He whispered.
Nightmare smiled, "Over here. You can change in the bathroom since you've been so good. Come out when you're done."
Dream took the clothes and practically ran to the bathroom. Once he was inside, he locked the door and fell to the floor, shaking slightly. He berated himself for giving in so easily. Slowly he stood back up and changed. The clothes were very similar to his old one, but the color scheme was black, blue, and white. Nightmare had even included another scarf to match. Surprisingly, it fit perfectly. He checked the mirror and blushed. He did, in fact, look good in Nightmare's colors. He let his head drop into his hands, rubbing his face against his palms. He focused on dispelling the blush that tinted his face yellow. When it was down to a manageable level, he grabbed his clothes and unlocked the bathroom door. Nightmare whistled as soon as he stepped out.
"Wow... I was wrong, you don't look good in my colors, you look beautiful."
The blush returned very quickly and Dream took an instinctual step back. Nightmare was on him in a second, picking him and carrying him to the bed.
"You've been such a good boy today, i'm very proud of you Dreamy. But you've had a rough day, go to sleep."
Dream whined and squirmed in Nightmare's arms at the compliments, but let him carry him. Nightmare set him down on the bed and lied down beside him.
"Go to sleep Dreamy. Now."
Dream whined, "i'm not tired, please just let me go."
Nightmare frowned and pulled Dream closer to him. He began rubbing Dream's back in a way he knew would make Dream calm down.
"That was a command, not a request. I'll consider what to with you tomorrow. You are tired, go to sleep."
Dream's body relaxed under Nightmare's steady hands, and despite his attempts to stay awake, he fell asleep. Nightmare smiled as he watched Dream slept.
"How adorable Dream. You and I are gonna have a bit of fun." He whispered, then settled down beside him, surrounding him with his tentacles.
The next day Nightmare woke up bright and early. He got up, careful not to disturb Dream. He walked over to his desk and grabbed something off of it. A collar. A magic inhibitor collar, specifically designed to stop Dream's magic but not his aura. He clipped it on Dream's neck and adjusted it carefully. He could readjust it once Dream woke up for maximum comfort. He didn't really want to hurt Dream, only keep him here.
He wrote Dream a note, telling him to get changed and then come out of the room, where a Papyri guard would be waiting to take him to the kitchen. Then Nightmare left it and the bedside table and left the room, making sure to leave it unlocked.
Dream sat up several moments after Nightmare's footsteps faded, blush coating his face. He tugged at the collar but only succeeded in choking himself. He let out a noise of quiet discontentment.
He fell back into bed but got up a moment later after his stomach growled. He got up and looked his clothes over. They should still be fine, if not, he could change after confronting Nightmare.
He checked the note Nightmare had left him then opened the door to leave the room. Sure enough a shadowy figure stood to the side of the door.
"Take me to my brother." Dream commanded.
The dark papyrus nodded and walked off. Dream hurried behind him, barely able to keep up with the guard's long legs. He tries to pay attention to the path they took, but was completely lost after a couple of minutes. Everything looked the same, at it didn't help that everything was so dark!
Finally they arrived at the kitchen, which was thankfully a bit brighter than the rest of the manor. Nightmare was at the stove... was he making waffles? He shook off those questions and stomped towards Nightmare.
"Get this thing off me!" He shouted, gripping his collar.
Nightmare laughed and turned to face him, "you seem angry, is it uncomfortable?"
Dream growled, "Take this damn thing off."
Nightmare chuckled, "watch your language, someone might see you and your image as the embodiment of all things cute and innocent will be ruined."
"Fuck you!"
"Only if you beg~" Nightmare grinned and turned back to the waffle maker, ignoring Dream's stuttered protests.
"You hungry Dream? i'm going make a few more waffles, then we can eat. I was expecting you to sleep longer than you did, so they aren't ready yet."
"No I don't want any of your food you ass! Take off this collar and let me go!!!"
"Wow, aren't you mouthy. A shame too, I made your favorite. The waffles are practically bursting from the amount of chocolate chips I added and there are fresh strawberries and strawberry syrup in the fridge, just waiting for you. Has any one else made them since our AU crumbled?"
No one had. It was a guilty pleasure that only Nightmare and Dream knew of, but Dream wasn't about to tell Nightmare that.
"You mean since you destroyed it. It didn't crumble, you tore it to pieces and rebuilt your kingdom of despair on the ruins!"
Nightmare smiled, "oh what a beautiful description Dream, how lovely~ The boys will love it. But are you sure that you don't want any waffles? They are as sweet as you are!"
Dream couldn't help but blush at the praise. Still he stayed stubborn.
"No. I don't. I want this collar off and to go home." Dream said, putting force behind his words.
Nightmare was behind Dream in a moment, his tentacles wrapped around Dream's body and he held onto him by the hips. He set his chin on Dream's shoulder and smiled.
"For some reason, I don't believe you. And don't bother. While I'd love to let you go, you'd only get yourself hurt. Ink's having a creative spree and Error and Blue are having a small vacation in Classic's world together. The multiverse is mostly undefended at the moment, so i'm letting the boys cause a bit of chaos. Nothing Ink can't fix in a week or two, but still fun for them. And if I let you go, you'll try to stop them and get yourself hurt. Because despite how amazing you are at fighting, five on one--" Nightmare was interrupted by a kick to his knee and and elbow in his gut.
Dream pushed away from Nightmare with a growl. His cheeks were coated with golden blush, but his tone was dark.
"Back off and don't touch me anymore. I don't care how unbalanced the fight may be, it's my job to fight for the safety of the universe. So let me go!"
Nightmare smirked and reached forward. Dream tried to smack his hand away, but Night was too quick. He pulled Dream forward by the collar and undid it quickly.
"Go ahead Dream, see how far fighting gets you." He said then backed off.
Dream looked skeptical, but teleported away the second he was given the chance. The moment Dream left, Nightmare pulled out his phone and called Dust.
"Dream will be arriving at your location in a little bit. Rough him up then bring him in. I'm making waffles, so plan to all come back and stay for breakfast."
Meanwhile Dream went to the omegaverse and changed his clothes. He couldn't stand to be in Nightmare's colors for another moment. He basked in the positivity of the omegaverse for as long as he could, but eventually he had to leave. He sighed and drew his staff, then teleported to where the negativity spikes were coming from.
Unsurprisingly, the gang came back in an hour and a half. Dream was held in Error's strings, unconscious, and sporting a new crack on the back of his head.
Nightmare sighed and pulled Dream down into his embrace.
"Oh dear Dreamy, you must not like being in my colors."
He fingered over the cracks on his skull gently, then looked up at the team. They were standing before his throne, awaiting orders.
"Whoever cracked his skull, go fetch a healer, the best one currently in the castle. The rest of you, head to the kitchen and start serving yourself. Don't eat all of them, Dream will be hungry when he wakes up."
They nodded and filed out of the room. Horror shamefully put his head down and scurried across the castle to collect the healer, a medic sans who had been 'convinced' to be Nightmare's head healer. Nightmare grabbed the magic inhibitor collar he had set aside for for Dream and gently attached it to his neck.
Nightmare held Dream upright in his lap, watching him sleep. Horror came back soon, bringing with him the healer. The healer quickly got to work on Dream and Horror attempted to leave the room. Nightmare stood and stopped him before he could get further than a couple of steps.
"Tell me about the fight, why was it necessary to crack his skull?" Nightmare asked, arms crossed.
Horror gulped, but managed to remain calm.
"You wanted the little brat roughed up didn't you?" He growled, rolling his eyes.
He glance up at Nightmare, judging Nightmare's reaction. Nightmare glared down at him and Horror quickly amended his statement.
"He kept breakin' Error's strings anytime they got close, and the fight was only escalatin'. We had ta knock him unconscious or he wouldn't have been the only one ta be hurt. I just hit him a tad too hard, his bones are a lot weaker than Dust and Killer's." Horror looked away and grumbled, "the little brat's actually pretty freakin' strong."
Nightmare looked down at Horror with a smirk, "of course he is, how else do you think he's survived for so long, when he fights or attempts to redeem everyone with an even slightly negative aura, including me?"
Horror nodded, "I understand, sorry boss."
Nightmare waved him off, "your scepticism isn't uncommon. Despite how universally feared I am and how often we fight, people never comprehend how strong he is."
Horror was about to respond when Dream woke up with a gasp. Nightmare turned around quickly and pushed the healer aside. He picked Dream up and hugged him tightly.
"I told you that it was a fruitless endeavor. You can't fight back, no matter how amazing you are at fighting."
Dream relaxed in Nightmare's hold, then opened his eyes and stiffened. He desperately tried to shove Nightmare back, but he couldn't get out of his hold. He hit Nightmare's chest, squirming and pushing. Nightmare chuckled and transferred Dream to his tentacles, holding him only a bit above the ground. Dream hissed and struck out at him like an angry animal.
"Let me go you asshole! Stop capturing me, and stop fucking touching me!"
"Calm down Dream, I can't let you go, you'll just go charging into danger and get yourself hurt again. You were only just healed, Horror hit you pretty hard."
Horror slowly approached the two, hiding slightly behind Nightmare.
"Wow boss, he's really angry. Didn't know he had such a potty mouth."
Nightmare smiled appreciatively, ignoring how Dream shouted and fought, "He always has, but mostly when he's angry. I told him this morning that he should stop or people will realize he isn't as perfect as he pretends to be."
Horror nodded, smiling slightly and reached out to touch him but had to withdraw his hand to avoid being hit by Dream's flailing limbs. Nightmare growled and restrained Dream further, but the damage was done, Horror retreated behind him, eye glowing brightly. He had been affected greatly by Dream's magic, which was extremely angry. Nightmare pulled Horror into a hug and began to scold Dream.
"Enough Dream, you are scaring others. I will not let you go, so calm down and get used to where you are right now."
Dream growled back but gave Horror an apologetic look. He pushed a bit of his magic at Horror, conveying his feelings. Horror peaked out at him curiously.
"Wow boss, your bro is pretty scary."
Nightmare nodded and gently stroked Horror's skull, "because our magic is so strong and emotion based, our anger is about ten time as scary. It's okay though. He might be pretty tough, but he doesn't actually mean any of us harm."
Dream snarled and struggled harder, "I wouldn't be too sure about that, I mean you a lot of harm!"
His magic flared as a warning, but Nightmare only laughed, "I know, I know. However, it's time to behave now. If you stop struggling and be good, I won't have to tie you up and carry you around in my tentacles all day. I'll even consider forgiving you for insisting on leaving."
Dream only struggled harder, "I won't. Let me go!"
Nightmare sighed and stood. His tentacles moved as he stood, slamming Dream against the wall, then forced him to kneel. Dream gasped and curled in on himself as much as his restraints would allow, which wasn't very much. Nightmare stood close to him and Dream was overwhelmed by his magic. It was extremely angry and he cowered in fear.
He flinched as Nightmare reached down and... flicked him...?
Nightmare looked down at Dream and frowned.
"You were doing so well last night Dream, I thought you were learning to behave. I guess I was wrong. You know exactly what I can do, so I won't elaborate on my threats, but if you continue to disobey, you won't like what I will do to you. Do you understand?"
Dream shook as he looked up. His vision tunneled and all he could see was Nightmare above him. He couldn't move, besides that involuntary shaking.
Nightmare growled and tightened his tentacles around Dream, "I said, do you understand?"
Dream squeaked and nodded when the pressure increase brought him back to reality. Nightmare sighed and pulled him up from the ground. His tentacles released Dream and he tensed in Nightmare's arms, still shaking slightly. Nightmare smiled and began to rub his back, comforting him. He leaned down and began to murmur in Dream's ear. Horror was almost certain that he had whispered "Good boy" to Dream, but that was preposterous, right? The blush that covered Dream's face didn't offer any ulterior choices.
"do you have him under control now?" Horror asked, sparing a glace at Dream.
Nightmare nodded, "Yes, Dream is ready to be good now. C'mon, lets go meet the others and eat breakfast."
All of nightmare's tentacles retreated into his back and he began to walk back to the dining room. Horror hurried behind them, wondering just how long Nightmare would be able to keep him in control.
It turns out, the answer was, until Blue got back. The moment Blue and Error returned, Blue demanded Dream back and Error backed him up. The other Bad Sanses were reluctant to give Dream up, especially Nightmare, but the moment Dream knew that escape was in sight, he acted out as much as he possibly could, making his disagreement with staying known to everyone. Blue successfully got Dream back, and took him to the omega timeline.
Dream happily stayed there for almost three full weeks, avoiding even mentions of Nightmare. He didn't stop blushing for the first week he was safe, and it returned everytime someone tried to bring up his time with Nightmare. He could not hide forever though, all too soon he was forced out by a cry for help from Ink. He thought he could handle it.
When Nightmare turned and smirked at him, Ink held tightly with his tentacles, he knew he was wrong.
"Oh hello Dreamy~ I haven't seen you lately, have you been avoiding me?" Nightmare said, in front of Dream in a moment.
Dream flushed and jumped back, his staff gripped tightly in both hands. He glared up at Nightmare, but didn't answer.
Nightmare's grin softened and Dream pretended that he had imagined the fondness in his eye, "oh don't worry Dreamy, I'll forgive you for this little transgression. After all, you're here now."
Dream grimaced and flinched as Nightmare's tentacles reached forward as though to touch him.
"L-l-let I-ink g-go." He stuttered.
Nightmare glanced back at Ink, "ah yes, your little friend. I suppose something could be arranged for his freedom."
He turned back to Dream and held Ink out, "how about this Dreamy, let's make a deal. I want something from you~"
He tossed Ink back at his gang, who grabbed him and shoved him to the ground, and began slowly walked towards Dream, forcing Dream backwards. What Dream didn't know, as he backed up, was that there was a large boulder behind him. He hit the boulder and was immediately pinned by Nightmare's tentacles. Nightmare leaned in with a wide grin. His tentacles blocked Dream from the other's views.
"You look delicious today Dream, absolutely stunning. Could I have a taste?"
Dream flushed and pressed himself up against the boulder, trying to escape from the embarrassment. He turned his head away from Nightmare, desperately trying to calm his blush. This was what had kept him in the omega-verse for so long. Nightmare's flirting had only gotten worse the longer he had stayed, and he was terrified that if Nightmare caught him again, he would stop resisting.
Nightmare gently pushed Dream's head back to face him, holding his chin up.
"How about this Dreamy? A kiss for the creator, doesn't that sound fair?"
Dream gulped as he stared up at Nightmare, and prepared to make a deal with the devil.
"You have to leave this AU alone as well. A kiss for Ink and the safety of this AU." Dream said, trying to sound stubborn, but his voice shook.
Nightmare laughed, "You drive a hard bargain Dreamy, but I'll happily accept."
He leaned in and kissed Dream lovingly, pressing him up against the wall. Dream melted into the kiss after only a moment. His knees felt weak, and he was glad that Nightmare was pushing him into the wall, as he knew that he'd probably fall without the support. When Nightmare pulled away, Dream stifled a small whine for more. Nightmare chuckled at the dazed look on Dream's face.
"Don't worry Dreamy, I'll give you more later. You just gotta wait for it."
He left Dream at the boulder and glanced back at his team.
"I got what I wanted boys. Leave the Creator for Dreamy and let's head home!" He called.
Nightmare's gang cheered and ran through the portal that Nightmare had summoned, leaving Ink behind. Ink immediately ran to Dream, who was collapsed where Nightmare had left him.
"Are you okay Dream?!" Ink's eyelights switched rapidly, his worry obvious, "What did he do?!"
Dream groaned as he stood, "I'm fine, lets just go home. I wanna nap for the next century until Nightmare has forgotten this stupid obsession."
Ink chuckled and helped support Dream as they walked back through a portal to the Omegaverse.

Promptis and turquoise please! Preferably happy of course but) thanks mom!!!
The store is strange, there’s a fine haze in the air that Prompto can’t say is smoke but at the same time might be and it smells like every gypsy woman he’s ever met. Noctis is beside him, looking around curiously but with a an air of cynicism that Prompto would even if he wasn’t kind of looking forward to whatever was going to happen. They’d just been walking by, having an awkward moment because Prompto had half blurted out something too serious, too close to a confession of something, and Noctis had ducked into the store because he’d sworn he saw Ignis coming down the street.
It was the stuff of story books. He nearly jumps out of skin when a voice, surprisingly normal and not at all the old woman-y sound he expected comes from behind him.
“Can I help you find something?” It’s a young man with light hair and lovely turquoise eyeliner, he looks like ever bohemian kid Prompto’s ever seen and briefly he feels a little disappointed. He shakes his head and gives a little shrugging sort of motion. The boy though looks at him more seriously.
“Oh! Oh not find, no, you’re not looking for anything, either of you…no..oh! You need with telling something, okay! I’m good at that,..had me worried, my brother’s a finder but I’ve always been rubbish at it, Now then…”
Prompto finds himself on the receiving end of a squinty sort of appraisal and glances and Noctis, who looks just as confused if not a little amused. The boy gasps a bit as Prompto smiles at Noctis and it draws his attention back.
“That’s it! Yes, yes…you’re in love and he’s in love and you terrible at talking…oh good, that’s easy to work out. Now, go on, tell each other how you feel!”
Two hours later they are ejected back onto the sidewalk, blushing and holding hands. It’s exactly the sort of experience Prompto was tentatively hoping for and also soooo much more awkward in reality. He looks at Noctis, “Your house?” Noctis gives him an odd little smile, “Nah, Iggy’s. We need some rationality right now.”.
blythe smiles warmly as she nods, blonde waves shifting against her navy blue t-shirt with the movement. " anytime. you know i'm always here, no matter what. that's what sisters are for. " she gently bumps her shoulder into cammie's, careful not to spill her nearly overfilled beer cup while remaining worry - free for cammie's, already half gone before the conversation even started. eyes drift back to the game and excitement bubbles as nashville fire puts themselves on the board. " yes! ha! " she's nearly bouncing in her seat now, shoulders shimmying as she offers to clink her plastic cup with cammie's.
each goal that followed, she reacted the same. the break at the quarter starts and she grins brightly, eyes still focused on the ice. when she speaks, her tone is reminiscent of the times she was up to something, also laced with curiosity. " so the fbi guy, he was with you guys at dispatch that whole time? " she looks to cammie, trying to hold a more subtle smile. " i know you said the guy didn't matter and wasn't the point, but come on. you're not even going to give me a name? "
@411talk as cammie raleigh : thanks for letting me vent a little.
