People in the world are suffering so much and this might seem non significant but I needed an outlet for my pain and anguish do something about it so

I am disgusted by my country! In Kerela (a state in India) a pregnant elephant fucking DIED because some assholes decided it was a PRACTICAL JOKE TO FEED HER A PINEAPPLE WITH WITH FIRECRACKERS!!??! Despite being injured due to an explosion in the mouth and in struggling with excruciating pain, she remained calm and didn’t cause any trouble. She tried to go into a nearby river for water and died. I won’t go into painful details or use pictures as they will only cause pain to others and I don’t want that. I want everyone’s anger.
In Kerela, an elephant DIES EVERY THREE DAYS!! We have less than 20,000 elephants left in India, they are rapidly declining. The more horrifying part is bombings like these have become a COMMON PRACTICE to kill wild boars. As if that is acceptable somehow?!!?
And it gets worse, it is a very common there to fucking beat the elephants for one whole hour daily to keep them submissive. If they still don’t become docile, they are put in a cage! Sometimes for as long as 6 whole goddamn months!!! And they beat them through the cages.
Worse! In the last 20 years (maybe more) not one person has been arrested by the authorities on the grounds of animal cruelty! This is the same state that tried to illegally kill all the stray dogs in the state by shooting or beating them to death!!

It is really sad that the culprits are likely to be prosecuted under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. This means the culprits will get a maximum of seven years in jail. The law in India does not assign long prison sentences to wildlife crime.

What they are demanding is a bit extreme but hopefully, it sets the wheels in motion to help make laws in this direction.
