i think all characters who are primarily strategists should be roiling with at a god complex under a controlled facade. not only because it fits psychologically, but cause i want to see them lose their composure when something doesn't go exactly how they predicted which means they, personally, are a human failure.

trying to read the new arcane ascension book but i just care about these characters SO MUCH that i end up stopping after every few paragraphs just to catch my breath and process my emotions.

i literally can’t be normal about this series.

Rowe got asked what characters' favorite music kinds were and he gave a list of "half cannon answers".

Corin: classical, violin (actually referenced in series)

Sera: classical, musicals/operas

Mara: traditional work songs/tavern/sea shanties, piano (I believe that last one is to reference in series)

Patrick: All (Rowe's exact wording was "literally anything")

Jin: Jazz

Keras: Symphonic and Power Metal (I immediately made the joke, in a different channel, that he likes it because it vibes with his soul)

Why am I sharing this when post of the people who read AA on here are also in the server and thus have already seen it?

sera cadence my loveliest this is for the five people on tumblr who've read Arcane Ascension! it's also for @intertexts specifically for their awesome drawings of the gang that inspired me to make fanart of them too. i swear we decided independently that sera gets a bun

thank you to my moots while i briefly obsess over this series. also, bc I know yall follow me for cosmere or tfota stuff mostly--you would ALL enjoy it. go read it, it's called Sufficiently Advanced Magic (book 1). it's a progression and magic school fantasy. Imagine if magic was like programming with functions and coding! great twists and out-of-the-box solutions. GOATED cool magic system. actually makes smart characters without making other characters look dumb. smooth to read. extremely endearing characters and everyone is casually bi. it's also about other stuff that makes you cry.

I truly think that having a character who hates themselves for the same reason you hate yourself AND has the same reaction or coping mechanism to that self-hatred is one of the most validating and wonderful feelings ever in life (for @cmchill )

Did an AU where you can hear your soulmate's laughter in dreams, but got stuck on what I wanted to happen after the first bit so I'm making memes to help me work through it. Also, huge shout out to @flickerintwilights for helping me soundboard last night, which is what got the creative juices started. Don't know what I would do without you comrade!
