okay i have a question. why is bassist chan always so emotionless. like what’s the story behind it?
and while we’re at it… when and why did he decide to dye his hair red? and will he ever change his hair colour to something else (we know he isn’t into brown hair lmaoooo)
he's never been that good at expressing his emotions. You can see how he expresses interest in you through showing up randomly at your place (lmao), inviting you over using the "buy me cookies" as an excuse, or with those subtle gentle touches and brushes that happen from time to time-
he did have quite a rough past, he moved places not only because of university but also out of... Cowardice? or at least, that's what he'd say. He has a loving family but his hometown felt like a cage, too many things happened that made him the way he is now; a bit too careful of his surroundings and cold-looking, but at the end of the day he really is just a big puppy heh
He first dyed his hair when he was still in high school (let's say he was 14/15 more or less) - back when he started feeling like he lost his way, but it was also when he started getting more interested in music thanks to a friend of his. They'd spend entire afternoons browsing online and checking music forums because they wanted to be the coolest band in the world ("but there's just two of us, how can we be a band-" "it's ok, channie, don't think about it now!!") when suddenly his friend came up with the idea of dyeing their hair! He stole some hair dye from his mom's hair salon and hid in his room with chan, trying their best not to make a mess. Needless to say, they obviously got caught and had to spend two weeks of summer break working: chan was a waiter at his parents' restaurant, his friend helped with the cleaning at his mom's salon. Luckily though, the hair dye wasn't permanent so once school started again, chan only had some green-ish highlights here and there and his friend had some red locks of hair. These two also came to the conclusion that they should have switched hair dyes, since "red looks more of a channie colour", according to his buddy.
Chan keeps that memory really close to his heart and he feels thankful to that friend for making those years lighter to bear. But, unfortunately, they went their separate ways after a few years. He has no idea what he's up to now, and he never got to show him that, yes, now red really is his colour.
He never really thought about changing hair colour but he probably will try a colder tone and go for blue if he got the chance! His bandmates say that blue might make him look even more intimidating but you once mentioned how he'd look like a "merman prince" and he really liked that comment of yours. ~
in honor of Bertrand's 3rd year of existence, i'm posting his official Spotify playlist here!
in case you want further elaboration on why some songs are there, here are some notes:

I've Got The Power by Fireflight - form of...Lune! specifically, Bertrand's state of mind after saving his own life by jumping into his assailant's body.
Resuscitate by Fireflight - i mean. this is self explanatory
Unbreakable by Fireflight - Bertrand after hearing about Armand's aspirations of godhood and bouncing back from his 250 year depressed slump
