Why do u ship Parr and Anne Boylen? It’s such a random ship

Admittedly it is an odd ship because I did start ‘shipping’ it in a wraith place. I need to clear this up quickly I really hate shipping historical people. I don’t know why it makes me so uncomfortable... also real people. I can only really ship drawn or cartoon characters. It’s weird

The reason I shipped these two was because of Elizabeth. I wanted Elizabeth to have the two mums that loved her and were there for her (Anna of cleaves was much more of an aunt in my mind than a mum). Then the more I imagined them as characters and the domestic au it kind of just happened.

Both women were very intelligent (tho the musical does a poor rep of Anne Boyle only complaint for the musical tbh). Anne was politically suave and knew how to work court unfortunately romours aren’t kind and you don’t know who’s going to believe what. Catherine Parr tho wasn’t as politically suave was definitely highly intelligent and knew how to survive the game.

It is a weird ship but I’m mostly imagining the softer and more quiet lifestyle they would have together. Sitting around reading and being great mums to lizzy and mae.
