I really don't understand young people getting married. Not all young people, but the people that are only 19-20 and have only been dating their significant others for a little over 6 months. I've been with the same guy for 3 years. 3 years! And I still haven't seriously considered marriage. The reason I've heard about such early engagements in my area is that they are waiting until marriage to have sex. If you're waiting until marriage, you should WAIT. Don't rush into marriage just for that. Shouldn't you be actually waiting for a while? Someone very close to me got engaged after 9 months of dating. I was not happy, and I knew right then that it wouldn't turn out that well. Already, only being married for 7 months, I get to hear complaining about being married. This is why you don't rush! You hardly know the person, and you're vowing your life to them! Why?? Why would you want to tie yourself down so young? Enjoy this time in your life! Sure, it might work for some people. But really, I just don't get it.
