@soslimyslime744 I did play Uranium, yeah!!! I never got around to beating it, but I definitely enjoyed what I did play. All of the new Pokemon were fantastic! And as cliche of an answer as it is, I think the Pokemon themselves are probably my favorite part of the series. They’re basically friendly, hyper-intelligent animals with super powers--can you get any better than that???

Hello everyone! ^^

Anon: I’ve watched my brother play a lot of the Zelda titles and I always really enjoyed them, but any time he would convince me to play I’d struggle and get stuck. :/ But!!! I did play and beat Breath of the Wild myself, and I absolutely LOVE that game. So freakin’ good. So I suppose I really didn’t play them much until the latest installment, but I’ve always been very fond of the games regardless!

Anon: Oh! You’re fine, no need to apologize! ^^ Ship away, haha! And of course you can ask about Alden and Asher!!!

Alden and Asher have a relationship somewhere between best friends and an older sister/younger brother dynamic, and they have the biggest age gap between any of my Hero/Partner duos (Alden being about 15 and Asher being about 10). They more or less follow the story of Super Mystery Dungeon, with Alden being the former human turned chikorita, and Asher being the troublesome little froakie she bumps into and somehow befriends in the village. Together they form Team Rush (like the plant family that often grows near water), and go off to save the world! :D

Alden is typically a very calm, patient Pokemon, albeit pretty damn sassy. Asher is a hyperactive and easily riled-up kid, but also incredibly sweet and idealistic. However, in dungeons Asher actually tends to be the naturally better fighter, and when Alden’s carefully-laid plans fall apart, Asher’s the better Explorer in terms of thinking on his feet! (Also, Alden has a Big Gay Crush on Deerling and Asher teases her and tries to get them together at any and all opportunities, haha!)

I could write out some more, but I’m hoping to re-open asks soon, so I’ll leave some potential questions for that. :3c

Anon: ABSOLUTELY MY DUDE!!! I’m so pumped for the next gen. I’m pretty much excited for any new Pokémon title if we’re being honest (Let’s Go Eevee rocked my socks), but a new generation is always extra hype! Can’t wait for those fakemon designs to start cropping up and getting everyone guessing on what the starters actually look like, haha!

Anon: Holy cow, that would be really adorable. I feel like Grovyle would be oddly touched by that fact??? Like somehow it just shows how close he and the hero are, that they transformed into his evolutionary line. :’)

@why-is-rem-so-underrated Y E S!!! I absolutely love the Animal Crossing games! I’m SO excited for the switch release next year. Oh man, I should do some AC art sometime here on this blog. Everyone else excited for the new ac game, too?!

Anon: Hm...Sorry, gonna say that’s a spoiler, my dude! I will however say that it takes place in-story, not as an epilogue or anything. It is pmd, after all. No guarantee Nia will even stay in the Pokémon world by the end of the story... ;3c

@soslimyslime744 - Yeah!!! It’s just a basic choose-your-own-adventure visual novel kind of thing, but it’s one of my projects I’m working on for school! I’ll definitely share it here if everything comes together all right.

anon 1 - Haha! You’re totally fine! Just trying to work out some details. Unfortunately, I don’t really know if I’m the best person to ask considering I don’t have a ton of experience with 2D animation. Storyboarding yes, but animation itself? Ehhh...not really. Even if I would definitely love to animate more with 2D, given the time. Honestly, if you just google “how to start animating” or something along those lines, you’ll get a ton of results that can give you better advice than I can!

The only things I can think of off the top of my head are 1.) to practice drawing in general (if you’re going for representative objects and creatures in your animations, at least), 2.) to not be afraid to use references for movement (both animated and real-life footage), and 3.) to just jump in and start!!! Don’t let it seem too intimidating or overwhelming--have fun and try some stuff out. Sorry I’m not much more help in this area. ^^’

anon 2 - Yup! His parents chose his name based on his blue coloring. He’s a very handsome snivy, and very blue.

Oh gosh, hey everybody! I’m sorry for absolutely vanishing for a while there. u_u’ I kind of forgot to check up on tumblr for like a month, and then it was a little overwhelming to come back to all at once. BUT HELLO!!!

Anon 1: Hahaha! Right?! Skitty’s power, at least in terms of status effect moves, is definitely OP. In the mainline games, that fact is pretty balanced out by the skitty line’s weak attack/special attack, but since that balancing wasn’t really implemented in PMD...the PMD skitty Is A Beast to Be Reckoned With. I love it tbh.

@sparkly-deutsch-gay I’m happy to serve up some of that quality skitty content, haha!!! Skitty is adorable, so I’m surprised by how little it’s ever drawn by other PMD fans tbh. A skitty/torchic duo sounds A+, btw! Mega cute.

@soslimyslime744 Good! School is kind of kicking my butt as usual, but I’m definitely learning a lot and I am super excited about what I’m currently working on! I might actually post a few school-related things here soon, since I feel bad about leaving this blog so barren the last month or so. Thank you for asking! ^^ Hopefully you’re doing well, too.

Anon 2: Hm...I think the very first iterations of them happened like at least 6 years ago? So I kind of had a vague idea of what I wanted from them back then (mostly just that they were a PMD team, didn’t get along at first, and had to grow a lot as characters), and I knew I wanted to write their story as opposed to say drawing it in a comic, but I only really started working out and legitimately writing down their story this year! Their characters have already changed a lot from their first (or even second or third) versions, and I know I’ve grown a lot both as a writer/artist and as a person since they were first created, so I’m happy in a weird way that it took me this long to finally write out their story! :) Still working on that in my downtime, btw, and overall very happy with the direction it’s taking. It’s gonna be a long sucker, too.
