couple things re your fortunes weave speculation post: 1. dietrich says "fódlan" in the trailer so either it's not before fódlan existed, or there's even more potential time travel stuff going on

2. nabateans dont have ears that pointy. that dark dragon is likely either whatever race sothis is, or from the native dragon race from before sothis arrived in that world. sothis made the nabateans, they're not their own thing that existed before her, and while their ears are pointed, they're small, and this is shown in flayn, seteth and rhea's concept art. ninae may be a nabatean, but not the dark dragon.

I’m leaning towards the idea of this is definitely “a future” of Fodlan. However we did get confirmation time travel is involved per this game description. So I think this means putting wherever this is time wise is in flux.

As for your second point I actually thought about this at work earlier today. But it’s very possible that this underworld representative is perhaps a demonic equal opposite to Sothis. I suppose it’s not out of the realm of possibility
