The first piece was done in August of 2022 as a part of our original promo art. The second piece was finished this last month, while season two is in production.
During every moment of our time making Camp Moonmirror, we have enjoyed finding new ways to improve our skills to honor our listeners. We want to tell the best stories possible for you all, including giving ourselves room to grow into stronger creatives. Thank you for standing by us as we try to find our footing as an indie production team. We are forever grateful.
During our three years of releasing episodes, we have posted over 60+ hours of content and a prequel novella for Camp Moonmirror, plus many more hours of livestreams, extras, and other series. We have exceeded our expectations, and we are proud of everything we have done. But we also acknowledge that this is a bit of an extreme output for people who are doing this strictly out of passion. We do not make money from SOTS, and we do this in our free time outside of our jobs. As the US economy grows ever scarier, and the situation with our government grows more and more precarious, we have entered a difficult time where balancing our jobs is more important than producing episodes at the rate we previously have been.
Let us be clear: we are not quitting or canceling anything. That’s not how we work.
We will finish Camp Moonmirror to the very end, at all costs, and continue making our other stories such as Exile as well. New projects will continue to be made as well. Nothing is being stopped. But this is a formal announcement that we are slowing down production to ensure all of our members are able to focus on survival first. It is the only way to ensure growth and development in a healthy way at the moment.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. Please keep an eye out for our new content and feel free to listen back to everything we’ve made so far!
