When his phone rang, she let go of his hand, so that he could talk freely, she was absentmindedly was looking up at the sky, and how blue it was, and not a single cloud in the sky.

She smiled and nodded at him, still following on as he started to step ahead, but then the word hit her and she stopped, her head tilting as she absorbed the word "Wife".

She looked at her hand, nope, no ring.... wait.. what was happening here. She was still frozen on the spot. But she had to admit, she liked the way it sounded on his lips. "Wife." Was she ready to be a wife? They were still young, but she had to admit, the thought of being his wife brought a tingle in her stomach that she liked. Not to mention a tingle between her thighs. How was it that this man instantly got like 2000% hotter.

"Hey.... you can't just drop the wife bomb and run off." She said, catching up with him and grabbing him, a smirk on her lips, a twinkle in her eyes. "You better hang up baby." She said, the smirk on her lips "Your wife instantly became very horny." She chuckled, a blush rising on her cheeks.

If it hadn't been for Jake, Anika was sure she wouldn't be here now. He had saved her. It had been her first encounter with a Vampire. Well.. not completely true. But one who wanted to kill, one who wanted to feed.

But he had come out of nowhere, while she had been slammed into a tree, whimpering.

When they both shifted back, he had carried her home, her arms over his shoulders, as broken bones started to form back into their place, bruises formed over her skin, and wounds began to heal.

She didn't care that they had both been naked, all she cared about was she could hear his steady heartbeat under her head.

"If you.... if you hadn't of come when you did... I would be dead." She said softly, looking at him as he washed her gently, soothingly. She looked into his eyes, not caring that she was completely exposed to him. That she was vulnerable infront of him. She knew he wouldn't care, that he would still care about her.

She lift one hand, the wrist still swollen from where it had healed from the break, her fingers lightly stroking his face. "You saved me Jake... You always save me." She breathed, leaning in to lightly kiss his cheek.

Zuko lay beside Mai, the sheets tangled around their bodies keeping out the chill of the night air. The hum of the waves and the lingering scent of saltwater were a stark contrast to the warmth they shared in this small, dimly lit cabin. Their rendezvous had become the thing that felt remotely normal anymore. There was something undeniably comforting about being with @soughthope. She understood him in ways no one else ever could.

He reached over, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face. Her expression remained calm, but he knew her well enough to see the flicker of sadness beneath it. Maybe it was the same thing he felt in these stolen moments between them. The yearning for something he knew they couldn’t have.

"It won’t be like this forever," he murmurs, his lips brushing against the column of her neck, as his voice breaks the silence. His fingers gently traced the curve of her shoulder. "When I capture the Avatar, my father will welcome me home again, and we can stop with these clandestine meetings, have a normal life."

feeling her lips on their face causes them to freeze for a moment. originally they were busy messing with a few settings on a camera they had recently came into possession with, while photography wasn't necessarily a career they were considering- they needed a hobby of some kind to keep their mind at bay.

max's display of affection currently takes focus, setting the camera down on their desk & immediately wrapping themselves around the shorter one.

ally isn't sure what to say just yet; but from how their pointed ears wiggled, it's safe to assume that they were very happy to see her & eager to reciprocate all those mushy gooey feelings.

The smirk was as big as it could be. He practically ran towards her in the middle of her cell room. "Well, usually I would toy around and have you make me spit it out, but after the months of red tape along with meetings I had to debate in." He stopped talking and showed her the official certification of release.

The monk hugged her tight as he did the same trick before to release her from her chains completely.
