TRC Month 2021 - Day 7: Weapons

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Kurogane - Souhi

It's not as good as his father's Ginryuu, but if Kurogane were honest (and he always is), Souhi is on the same level as the Ginryuu replica he'd had made when he first entered Shirasagi Castle.

It's sturdy, and strong enough to withstand all of Kurogane's attacks against any kind of foe. A steadfast, reliable companion on a perilous journey.

And when he wakes up, back home after so long, he takes a minute to regret its loss in the ruins of Ceres.

Yes, Souhi is a good sword.

But the life he exchanged for it is far more precious.

I had trouble coming up with something for Day 7 - Pride.  Eventually I went with Kurogane’s pride in his young pupil (: It’s been fun, folks!  Completing these images has royally wrecked my sleep schedule.  But I look forward to next year!

I bought myself a Cube tablet/computer so I can draw directly on the screen!!  It translates so much better than my old Bamboo tablet.  The new tablet’s name is Epsilon. Of course, Kuro had to be the first thing I drew with this new hardware/software combo.
