Is it possible for someone to be born without an ability?

TECHNICALLY no, but there are conditions that can 'stunt' or 'hide' an ability, and there have been people born that sometimes have a delayed or have an ability so miniscule it appears they don't have one at all.

Being born 'without' an ability would be considered a serious birth defect or even a mystery of the universe, and IF it HAS happened the instances of it are soooo few and far between they're basically legends. So on the day to day level it would be considered basically unheard of.

I was reading up on magic in WV and wondered if they had anything like superheroes/metas. Either fictional or rumors of people with two or more powers. (i.e. my SuperOC had a healing soul and thanks to some nefarious criminals, was grafted with another soul giving her necromancy among other things.)

Yeah this is something I actually wanted to avoid with the universe. 

So its set up so that people can really only have one specialization - there IS a rare exception, something I like to call bi-traital souls, a soul with two colors and/or two abilities, but they are SOOOO rare and even more rare to have very PROMINENT, ACTIVE abilities - like a Bi-Traital soul could be like….having Endurance while having Teleportation - but you’re most likely not gonna find one that has like Dimensional Powers AND Healing - since both of those take ALOT of power to expend and use - if you did you’d probably die an early death as your magic would just - burn itself out. And you’re day to day life would not be very good. You still have to LIVE after all.

But it all depends. 

Grafting Necromatic powers to a Healing soul would not work at all - they really don’t have any common trait to them, so most likely what would actually happen (per the canon rules of my universe) is the Healing soul would reject the graft and slowly kill itself trying to get rid of the ‘bad’ magic. This rejection is even worse when you deal with two opposing powers rather that two that have a likeness. 

Now I don’t mind fanon ideas running around and you can do whatever you like - but canonically these ideas would not work as there are set limitations and rules to how magic abilities function in-universe.

Hiiii. So, going off a previous question, how does ones acceptance affect ones powers? Like the Necro/Healing question. Say one hates their Necromany powers, how would that effect their abilities? I really really want to know. 0v0

It really wouldn’t AFFECT their abilities so much as they just wouldn’t grow...like, practice makes perfect, so if you don’t use em, you just don’t learn how to utilize them very well. 

But it wouldn’t really be negative on them. I actually experimented this a little with a nurse character names Fondu - she’s a Foodie that doesn’t use her food powers at all. She just - focused on being a nurse instead. Like she might go home and make a meal once in awhile but its not something she considers herself specialized it. She prefers to focus on her basic nursing career.

Kinda based of a headcanon, but what if all of the royals was capable of soul magic. It's just a matter of unlocking said ability, each slightly different for each ruler.

I really like that idea, it's more or less a connection that they didn't know they had, until perhaps Ghost came around or it was unlocked during a time of need. Such as a battle or a life and death situation depending on the ability. Either that it's unlocked by age. But the second one is probably my most favorite!
