( always disliked a presence against his back ) Was enough space to keep distance, but not so much to have them keep looking behind. Cold blue eyes STUDIED mannerisms, their speech. Were they trying to figure out what to do with him? ( hadn’t they been ones to summon him though ? ) Could do nothing but grit teeth. FRUSTRATED, he was. Had other business to tend to. Was a tired Champion, wanted nothing more than to be back home. Maybe if he took dark shard he held hand... no -- he couldn’t.

It was a miracle they survived the latest raid. In all honesty, Kiran felt… contempt towards the Aether Raids; confused why they were forced to fight and defend such a place. The importance of the area and why Loki seemed so interested, even so, his lack of foresight gave towards clarity of his own wall. Leading to a near defeat.

He hated that his failure resulted in them being hurt. Head lowered, unable to gaze upon Eliwood.

“T-that’s…” It was his fault. he should have planned better. “I should have been better, Eliwood. I could have come up with a counter, or at least figured out something so none of you would have been hurt!”

He should have been better. Smarter. Stronger. So why did he feel so weak?
