“Gotcha”!
Very Unladylike!! (still accepting!!)
Inhaling slowly, she stared at the remains of her old home. The ruins of the Hyrulian Castle was a sad sight for the Princess as she found herself picking at the bandages that wrapped around her arms. Mentally hearing Impa’s nagging, the blonde Princess exhaled as she lowered a hand, dropping her head slightly.
It had been a few months since her champion had finally regained control of the rampaging Divine Beasts and had freed her from her own prison within containing Calamity Ganon… And Zelda has yet to fully recover from it.
Things from nightmares to sleepless nights to wounds that should have been healed by now. Impa all thought that it would be more wise to hide the very wounds she had to not raise suspicious. Which made sense at first. But as the marks began to not show signs of going away, Zelda began to worry.
And not once did she bring this up with her companion. Her very own Champion. Granted, she thought he knew. However, he had a lot on his plate already.
“Father, please forgive me and my foolishness.” Zelda clasped her hands together as she closed her eyes, praying aloud to her late father. “For I cannot bring myself to tell my very Champion about the wounds I carry from Ganon. I wish to speak of these words but alas, I cannot.”
“Father, give me the strength. Hylia, give me the courage. I wish to be able to tell him… I want to tell Link my terrors of those long one hundred years–” She stopped mid-sentence as she felt eyes on her.
A chill went down her spin as she inhaling slowly. Recalling the stories of the Yiga clan still roaming freely from Impa and Link both, Zelda began to wonder… was it right for her to wander off without a word?
Exhaling, she moved to reach up for her horse before letting out a surprised scream as something had touched her foot. Whipping around, she looked to the grinning blonde swordsman as the color drained from her face.
To say the least, Zelda was going to accept death at that very moment.
