As someone who already struggles to find samples to make music, there are two that drive me crazy.
That "Yeah! Woo!" Sound effect I've been hearing in random tracks for the past couple of years
Whatever the hell that "vert" sound effect is in the first insert of Kamen Rider Faiz.
Frigging frustrating that I keep ending up at dead ends.
One of my favorite YouTubers just posted a video that's vaguely related to something I'm working on.

This is my final sound uploaded to soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/colab-soundscapes/confusion-dale-mccullough Reflective Statement I found going out and physically recording my own sounds then playing them back an interesting experience which really connected myself to what I was working on. I learnt there was a large amount of free software available that works with sound and found them very useful for adding effects, trimming, fading and layering my raw audio and internet sourced audio. I highly enjoyed having large files and just slashing and hacking away at them to create new sounds, sequences and rhythms. I discovered that to much sound in one place can cause drowning out, irritating noises and confusion. This is where I discovered the name "Confusion" for my piece of work. I feel my piece of work has to much "songs" and "beats" for what the brief was intending to aim for but I did what I felt was right and mixing these with my raw data sounds had an interesting connection between the two. Although many of my raw data sounds are distorted in one way or another I feel I have done well with this task and proud of what I was able to produce at the end of it.

Yesterday I went around town recording all sorts of noises including truck reversing beeps, court yards, birds, street buskers, shopping malls, foot traffic and so on. I've also downloaded audacity and had a bit of a play around on there with some of my content. Now time for some research on others music and a few internet audio files to download to add to the collection.
