it’s that special time of year! the holidays are upon us and whether you celebrate or not, there’s a sort of magical spirit lingering in the chilly baltimore air! a quick walk around the city ( or a drive if you want to keep your ears, nose and fingers warm ) shows everyone gearing up for what’s sure to be the most festive few weeks to close out 2018 right! if you have a keen eye for details, you may notice an ornate little flyer posted to telephone poles and up on the bulletin boards in the local hangouts. or perhaps your phone has buzzed with the top secret invite to the most talked about party of the year. that’s right -- not one but TWO separate events are being hosted soon and, lucky for you, mulberry residents, you’re invited to B O T H !
we know you’ll probably want to spend christmas eve and christmas day with friends and family should you celebrate it. that’s why our annual WINTER WONDERLAND BALL is being held on sunday december 23rd! grab a date and dress your best before making your way down to the grand historic hotel! eight separate ballroom areas mean that there’s plenty of room for you, that special someone to keep you warm this winter and thousands of your fellow baltimoreans! tickets are just 25 dollars each and a percentage of all proceeds will go to a hat, scarf and mitten drive for those in need. hors d'oeuvres and a formal dinner is included in the price of your ticket as is champagne service and an open bar. anyone caught smuggling in harder alcoholic beverages or other substances will be politely asked to vacate the premises. drinking, dancing and holding hands by the fireplace in the grand entry await you at the winter wonderland ball!
perhaps less grandiose in presentation than the previous week’s event and traveling more by word of mouth and digital invitation, there’s a party going down on new year’s eve. nothing should be out of place about such a get together; however, it’s who’s hosting that has everyone on edge. rumor has it, the new year’s even bash is happening on the top floor of mulberry apartments. that is to say, brooklyn hart is hosting a party! the enigmatic tenant clearly has money and endless time on her hands so we aren’t worried about the decor nor the refreshments that are sure to be served. what has everyone talking is the host’s propensity for gossip and what such a gathering may mean for the secrets of her fellow tenants. is something going to go down before the proverbial ball drops? either way, there’s a buzz of excitement surrounding the event too. finally, people will get to see how the local gossip columnist lives and maybe, just maybe, get a glimpse of her in person. you’ll definitely want to be there.
