🗣LADIES! This one’s for us. There’s all kinds of stigma and taboo when it comes to discussing our health, but the fact is…we must. That’s why I finally opened up about my surgery. As “normal” and together as we might seem…life still continues to happen, and to all of us. Womanhood is a beautiful and complex thing. Our bodies are art, can create life, torment us (hey Aunt Flo), carry the weight of the world with no disruption, and just do incredibly unbelievable things. Today I finally made it in for my 1 year follow up appointment but knew I wanted a mammogram. I’m not yet 40 but this was important to me. I want to live and I want to live well. And while I anxiously await results, I’m still singing the praises of this little body of mine. So here’s me being fab in my mammo robe. 👘✨ Check out my story #linkinbio. #soundsaboutwright #blogpost #health #womenshealth #blackwomen #blackwomenhealth #bayarea https://www.instagram.com/msdcwright/p/CZIdrySvbqy/?utm_medium=tumblr
