Height difference kisses where one person has to bend down and the other is on their tippy toes
For @isaaclahys because she requested it and because it’s her birthday :)
Thea’s eyes closed and she took in a deep breath, raising her nose to the sky. She smiled to herself at the feeling of Sasha’s muzzle nuzzling against her arm “Here girl,” she said plucking the dogs ball from the floor and throwing it across the garden.
It had been a while since they’d had such a sunny day in London and she was making the most of it in the garden.
Her heart lifted at the sound of the front door banging closed and she got to her feet. Brushing her hands down her maxi dress she padded in through the back door and a smile lit up her face when she spotted Luke making his way through the door.
“You’re home,” she said skipping across the floor and hopping up onto her tiptoes so she could drape her arms around his shoulders “Welcome back,” she whispered before he stooped slightly to kiss her hello.
He hummed happily as his arms tightened around her waist and he pulled her closer “Have you had a good day?” he asked as she dropped back down onto her heels.
“Sasha and I have been working in the garden,” she said as she reached out to ruffle the hair on the top of the Alsatian’s head “Are you hungry?” she asked as his hands slid around her waist and his chin leaned on her shoulder “You’re heavy.”
“Sorry, sorry,” he said with a chuckle before he pressed his lips against her cheek and straightened up “I’ve just missed the both of you,” his eyes narrowed slightly as they fell on the expectant looking dog standing at the other end of the kitchen “The three of you.”
“We missed you too,” Thea answered running her hands over her bump and chuckling as Sasha let out a bark “I think she wants you to take her on her walk.”
“And I will in a minute,” Luke replied with a shrug as he reached out to take her hands. When the band had come to the conclusion that they weren’t going to make it and it would be best to split and get ‘proper’ jobs there was always a part of him that was sad that his dreams had slipped away…
But now, looking over to his pregnant wife smiling across to him, he was realising this was everything he had ever dreamed of and more.
“Come on then old girl,” he said as he reached for Sasha’s lead, hanging up in the cupboard beneath the stairs “I promise we won’t be gone for too long,” he continued as he ran a hand down Thea’s arm a couple of times. Turning she mirrored her actions from before and hopped up onto her toes to wrap her arms around him and peck him on the lips.
“Ouff, going to have to stop doing that soon,” she said with a wince as she gently dropped back down so her feet were flat.
Luke pouted, sticking his lip ring decorated bottom lip out, comically before stepping closer and sweeping her up off her feet “Much better,” he said with a grin as he gently placed her so she was sitting on the kitchen top. Leaning forward he placed his hands on either side of her and captured her lips into a long kiss.
Right up until Sasha let out a loud bark.
Thea laughed as he leaned his his forehead on her shoulder and reached out to pat him on the arm “Come on, she may be getting on but nothing comes between Sasha and her walk,” she said dropping a kiss onto his cheekbone and laughing loudly as he hooking his arms under her knees and lifted her up, spinning her slowly before gently placing her back on her feet “Love you Mr Hemmings!” she called after him as he stalked out of the room with Sasha at his heels.
Their entire body freezing for a second when their love kisses them

“And a vodka and coke for the lady.”
“Thanks Charley,” the man she had been serving smiled as he plucked his pint from the bar top “Hey, it’s good to have you back.”
She sent him a tight lipped smile and a quick nod of her head as he turned to join his friends and she began to wipe down the bar. Being back in her old job, serving behind the bar her and her friends used to come to, wasn’t exactly what she’d had in mind.
“Barrel for the second tap needs to be changed but I’ve just done the vodka,” she smiled over to the other bargirl, Jenn, as she reached back to untie the apron around her waist “I’m going on my break.”
Stepping out into the hot Australian summer she reached into her bag to retrieve her sunglasses, running her fingers through her newly cut blonde hair once her eyes were covered. She was so glad she had chosen her shorts over her leggings that morning.
“Charley?”
Her eyebrows dipped in confusion at the sound of the familiar voice and a smile soon stretched her lips when she turned around to see Calum Hood jogging her way “Hey!” she exclaimed stretching her arms out and welcoming the hug he was offering.
Burying her face into his shoulder she found her eyes closing as he rocked her gently from side to side.
She hadn’t expected to see any of the old gang when she had stepped off the plane and headed back to her hometown. It had been longer than any of them were wiling to admit since they had all last spoken.
“What’re you up to today?” Calum asked as he pulled away from the hug, placing his hands on her shoulders “Do you want to grab a bite with me?”
Her mouth dropped open to answer but, embarrassingly, her brain didn’t catch up to give her the words for a few seconds. Seeing Calum threw her off. They had been so close once, they had even kissed when she had travelled to London to watch them play Wembley Stadium…
But now he was an LA rockstar and they hadn’t spoken for a year.
“Sorry,” she said shaking her head and reaching up to pinch her nose for a second “I’m working,” she continued with a shrug “But you can come and hang at the bar until the end of my shift?”
She hadn’t expected his face to light up in the way it did as he nodded “Are you still up for giving friends free drinks?”
Letting out a laugh Charley dug her elbow into his side as they two of them turned to head back in the direction of the bar. Her break, the food she had been looking forward to, was quickly forgotten about as Calum slung his arm around her shoulders.
“Okay who is he?”
The rest of her shift seemed to be moving along at a snail’s pace since she had sat Calum down in a booth in the corner. She knew she was distracted, her eyes wandering over to where he was watching the sport on the television or laughing at something on the screen of his phone, but she hadn’t realised she was distracted enough to warrant one of Jenn’s looks.
“Just an old friend,” Charley replied with a shrug as far from nonchalant as possible. Letting out a sigh she allowed a pout to come to her lips as she leaned with her back against the bar “I only have a half hour left…”
“Oh go,” Jenn said with a wave of her hand “Honestly? You’re more useful to me over there then you have been since you arrived back from your break early!”
“Thank you! Thank youuuu!” Charley grinned, clapping her hands together and pulling the reluctant, but laughing, Jenn into a quick hug.
“Since when did they add waitressing to your job?” Calum asked with a quirk of his eyebrow as Charley plonked a fresh pint in front of him.
“I’m all done,” she replied raising her cider slightly as she shuffled into the booth beside him “Time for you to tell me all about why the big rockstar is back in this small town?”
She wished it was easier. She wished she wasn’t as obvious as she leaned on the palm of her hand and hung onto every word he said. She wished she hadn’t missed him so much that she actually noticed the absence of the ache in her chest.
“So what about you?”
They were on their fifth round of drinks and her head was definitely feeling it. As though they were magnets they had ended up edging closer and closer with each drink and she was leaning with her head resting against his shoulder.
“Ohh we don’t have to talk about me,” she said with a scoff and a wave of her hand “In fact I would prefer it if we didn’t,” she continued as she took in a deep breath and straightened up slightly, reaching up to fix the mess her hair was in “Unless it’s about my new shorter ‘do,” she said pouting her lips and striking a pose.
Calum let out a laugh as he reached across to play with the ends of her hair “It suits you like that,” he said shuffling in his seat so he was leaning with his shoulder against the back and he was facing her. His eyes narrowed slightly as he watched her raise her cider to her lips, tilting his head slightly “I’ve missed you.”
Sober-Charley would never have been able to handle such a conversation without blushing and stuttering. Drunk-Charley smiled across to him and reached up to lace her fingers through his, dropping their two hands down so they were resting between them.
“Things just didn’t work out for us huh,” she said looking to him through her eyelashes as his thumb rubbed along her knuckles.
She had expected him to agree but, instead, his brow fell into a frown as his eyes dropped to where their hands were connected “I wish they had,” he said in a small voice glancing back up to her slowly.
Her breath caught in her throat as his free hand ran through her hair and pulled her gently toward him, her entire body froze in shock and disbelief as his lips touched hers.
Her eyes flickered up to his and she let out her breath shakily. A smile slowly came to her face as she regarded the concerned look on his face “I’ve missed you too,” she said moving even closer to him and reconnecting their lips once more.
