I stumbled across this record a few month ago and felt an almost Sade surge of waves take over. I was even more floored when I found out that the singer is someone I know personally. We all know Rachel Hale as the stunning traveller. The nostalgic reminder that life lives in the world and to sometimes follow the wind. Hale (élah) reads to me as a simple reminder to always take yourself there. No matter what. The song "Say" is a beautiful effortless plea. An 80's reminiscent drum pattern overlays élah's strong yet vulnerable vocals. Such an awesome song and beautiful song from a soul that I feel we all knew was destined for this kind of life. Definitely support the independent release by purchasing on iTunes. Certainly a timeless song to keep in your repertoire.
