the thing about miriam toews' bestselling novel women talking is that i adore every aspect of it so much. it's perfect the way it is. the way it handles its subject matter... the way its characters are treated... the way the twists are revealed... it's perfect. i can't write fanfiction about it because i could never improve any part of it and the story truly is meant to start and end where it does and the characters are woven so completely into the setting that they wouldn't work anywhere else.
