We always had to read Walt Whitman in high school because he was the great American poet. I think he said: every atom belonging to me as much belongs to you. He also says: I contradict myself. I contain multitudes. Multitudes of contradiction, that’s what he says. The multiplicity of the self. You think you’re just one thing but you’re not. Get used to it because it’s going to be constantly changing.
