Easter is upon us.
What does Easter mean to you? I am trying to get the hang of what's going on in church but to me Easter is more about spending time with the family, watching crime series on TV, eating good food. I am not used to thinking about all that what happened to Jesus... I am a bad Christian. I do believe a person named Jesus once lived. But how it all came about... but the message about Jesus is a good one but is it only man made? It sounds a little fantastic the whole thing.
I have trouble with believing the way church wants me to believe but there is no doubt in my mind that God exists. At least I think so when I am not in doubt but what the Bible says about it and so... I don't know but I do like lot of the things in the Bible. There is lots of comfort and wisdom in it. And such an interesting book and that it has survived all these years. Well, it has been changed a lot through the years so who really knows how it was in the beginning. But how to use it and what to make of it... I don't know. One can interpret it here and interpret it there. No one really knows how it really is but believing is believing. Faith is not science.
I feel that here where I live, it's not something you do, to believe in God. It's very distant to people around me. God is out in the modern world even if I have heard that many young people have started going to church around the country. So maybe God is on his way to become popular again?
No, I am not a traditional Christian. But I am convinced there is a God. But who really knows?
Maybe I am not wise enough to really understand the magic of the Bible. Maybe I am too selfish to really get into religion the way I should? Is there a right or wrong way to believe? And who will be the judge of that?
I fear I come across as someone who is mocking Christianity and religion but I just can't believe it all just like that. But I believe there is a God. I really do.
