Karen Baker, President of À La Carte, has always had a passion for food and the atmosphere it lends itself to. Perhaps it was due to Karen’s mother’s love of cooking and sharing with others, hosting formal dinners every Sunday night in which Karen would be enlisted to set the table. What once was a chore is now a full-fledged business for Karen, and we don't think its coincidence.

Upon working in the hospitality industry as well as at a gourmet shop, Karen took her skills and experience to new heights by bringing À La Carte to life in 1999. She’s gone from setting the table for a family gathering, to setting and creating an atmosphere for thousands of guests. À La Carte is a living illustration of that huge leap forward.

À La Carte Catering and Event design does everything from corporate events, social celebrations, weddings, picnics, holiday parties, even providing catering to-go. Custom events are also on their repertoire, and with a diverse, multi-dimensional team consisting of chefs, event designers and marketers, and more, À La Carte is well-equipped to design and provide culinary expertise for any type of event.

In terms of the catering side of things, Karen and À La Carte keeps things fresh with cuisine and seasonal fare sourced from the region.
