Like all good things, sourdough is simple. . This is my first sourdough loaf and in a time where I’ve been feeling like I can’t really do anything right (I know, I know, that’s not true) achieving this rise on the first try created a joy in me I haven’t felt in a while. Yea, it’s just bread but...well, bread is life. Especially sour dough - it’s a living thing, a fermented food, an ancient method. I began my starter two weeks ago, each day caring for it. Then two days ago I started the bread. There’s only three ingredients from start to finish - flour, water and salt. That’s it. The process reiterated something that’s always rung true - The simplest things can sometimes be the most mysterious and seemingly the most complex. . Would anyone be interested in a sourdough tutorial? I want to get a bit more into it before I write anything but I’d love to share how I achieved success. Also, if you live near me, I’d be more than happy to share my start with you so you can make your own living bread! . #livecleankitchen #sourdough #sourdoughbread #fermentedfood #sourdoughfromscratch #madefromscratch #bakebread #breakbread #vegan #veganfoods #govegan #whatveganseat #homemade #homemaker #rustickitchen (at Madison, Connecticut) https://www.instagram.com/p/BnJDHpXAXZH/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=istil3w4c6og
