Monday Train Report:
Worked this weekend on painting two passenger cars - Southern 1602 and a heavyweight combine turned tool car. 1602 was and ex-Wabash Dome that Southern purchased and added to the Crescent consist. Although not the 1613 dome, it will be a nice stand in for my Asheville Special. I'm using Tomiya Dark Green for the exterior and Krylon Ivory for the interior. Just good ole' silver and flat black on the combine. Here's pics of both:
Got this new to me dome parlor in the mail yesterday. It is a very close match for Southern Railway's Dome Parlor car 1602. Five minutes later, completely disassembled; bring on the paint!
